My new desktop, drawn by hand, but the fading edges, carreflection and ''shiny'' C114-writing are done in MS Word.

Does anyone know if there is a way to change default icons (for the main Documents, Puctures, Music folders) and the battery, wifi, speakers things? I know the originals in in shell32.dll but was just wondering if they can be changed...? I've got icons waiting to fill the position, just no idea how to get them on!

One trick is to hide the official icons and replace them with shortcuts to the same location, as you can easily change icons for shortcuts. If you wish, there are tweaks out there to get rid of the overlaid arrow on the icon that tells you it's a shortcut.

Those are called toons on photoshop forums etc.

You should check others to see how you can improve or use more advanced tools/techniques.
