In this series of threads, I'm listing and giving tutorials on how to improve your game-play. These are not instructions, or officially related to Atari in any way. They are tutorials created by me, for the sole purpose of giving you the chance to improve your gameplay.

 

I take no responsibility in your game going corupt or damaged. I cannot be help responsible for damages to game files or profiles. However this is highly unlikely to happen ;)

 

Anyway, on with the tutorial ...

 

Make sure you back up everything, unless you want to have to reinstall TDU when you decide the Petrol Station doesn't look as good.

McDonald's Diner / Restaurant Mod:

Programs / items NEEDED!

- 'BNK Editor' - [Download]

- TDU "McDonald's" Diner .zip - [Download]

Step 1

Open the .bnk editor program. Open the 'edi_a.bnk' located in 'C:\Program Files\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Level\Hawai\Spots'

 

Step 2

Replace these files which are within the 'Edi_a' folder, within the download.

• breakfast.2DB
  
• cubemap.2DB
  
• lightmap_edi_a.2DB
  
• menu1.2DB
  
• neons.2DB
  
• rubys_diner.2DB
  
• rubys-diner_logo_02.2DB
  
• rubys-diner_pinup.2DB
  

Now Save this .bnk

 

And you're away "get fat" at the new Fast-Food Restaurant!

I have tons of c/w due in on monday and tuesday and friday. I just really really couldn't be botherd to do it today :( Which will be at my expense tomorrow morning, afternoon, evening, and early hours of monday :(

would you happen to know where to find the store signs, koko books, gift shop, vince etc, I'm so tired of looking at them I'd like to start making my own

I found a file with a load of signs in earlier today ... in the Commonworld.bnk, there is a file with 'sign' in the name, near the bottom. It has about 15 signs for various stores in it. Then use the 'Make your own Texture Mod' tutorial in the main Mod Shop section.

you have to modify a file which changes the diners into macdonalds.

the diners are the drive ins that are all on the map

When you download the file and follw the installation instructions, the McDonalds Diners are the Diners which exist on the island currently. If you're on an offline profile, then they may not be on the map. But the are on this map - http://www.turboduck.net/resources/tdu-map-complete.jpg (Yellow squares with 'Dine' written on them.)
