This one is superb, so sharp. What were your photo parameters? (I can't read exifs here, if it has one).

Thanks for the comment :)

I was using a shutter speed of 1/40 Seconds. Aperature was F8, ISO 100 and the Focal Length was 53mm.

I right clicked on the image which I saved and resized in photoshop though but the details are mostly the same ;)

Cool - what was the lens?

If I tried a shot like that with my P&S the sky would just be completely washed out white :(

The lens used is the only lens I have for my camera which is a 17-85 IS USM. I do hope to extend the range and get a 70-200, some sort of macro and a wide-angle such as the 10-24 Sigma.

I was actually surprised with the sky in that one. Usually the sky is washed out for me but I think the polariser I have helped with this somehow and maybe the bit of photoshop editing I did also made the sky a bit colourful. ;)

I'll find the original image for you so you can compare.

Edit : Here it is >

-- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --

HDR from the top of my local church's tower - the house pictured (yes, that is just one house, not a national trust place) is owned by Guy Hands - he has to be commended though. He bought it as a run down old college, and spend reportedly £40million on it. It really is beautiful. My house is approximately at the very right hand edge of the photo in the middle (you can't see it - too many trees)
