Besides the Astra VXR is much better, torque steer just adds excitement to the driving :p !!!!!!!!!!!!

Just Looking at the Scooby and the lancer next to each other, I know now If there was a subaru and mitsibushi Dealership next to each other, Id be walking in the mitsibushi dealer

Yeah, i hated it at first, then it grew on me, now i hate it again. Apart from the 2.5 WRX, i like that, i just hate the STi. Ah well, at least they all don't sound like they have holes in their exhausts now :p.

Shame the new Type-R is such a let-down underneath the skin compared to its predecessor.

 

I'm not sure we should be using the term 'hot hatch' for these modern behemoths anyway - they're all big and heavy.

 

My old car was a hot hatch...

VW GTi has been the king of hot hatches since the first GTi, unfortunately it has lost a lot of what made the GTi the GTi, as it seems to be just a big bloated whale of a car now.

I was just saying that the Hatch doesn't look nice and why make an Hatch if the saloon has worked so well over the years ?????

 

IMO Scoobie's & Evo's aren't in the same category as the Golf GTI, Astra VXR, Focus ST & TYPE R etc etc.

Well, EVOs obviously aren't, as they're saloons, along with the old Scoobies. But as teh new Scooby is a hatchback, it is in the same group as Golf, Focus, Civic, etc.
