    Dear all members, Well Yes, I know the anniversary post is a month late now, I have been doing marathon of coding both at work and at home. Finally to bring you this major update since the complete system overhaul. (Did you know both site's anniversary is in February? What a coincident!) + Added new home page which will pull latest feed from every area of the site + Added Discord login, BOT that will auto post new content + Added Facebook, Twitter login, user can optionally share to Twitter when making new content + Added Steam login, this will add a tab on your profile page showing off your libraries (The integration will obey your Steam account privacy setting) Note: for existing user logging in through above services, the system will check account exist or not If it does not identify you, go to account setting and select platform to sync + Added dark theme as default (to switch, select theme at the bottom of page, due to compatibility issue, light theme is currently unavailable and will be added on a later date) + Added Animated Gif support on editor * Guest can now post content before registration prompt They will then have up to a week to finish registration with reminder + A new staff pick page is added with content hand pick by admins and mods, These content will also be shown at homepage block, social media and news letter recommendation * News section is back, which allow anyone to add / edit records Currently four categories are available (It follows wiki style editing meaning anyone can adjust each record and it saves history of modifications) * Donators from old TDuck all received a free VIP subscription Currently PayPal only but more support will be added * Consolidated unused, lesser traffics or unnecessary forums * Latest patches that applied many improvements and bus fixes I did not make a full explanation in previous announcement and the question has been brought up few times, so I made a formal thread about the reasons behind merger Lastly we are hiring freelance tech blogger who can write How to guide, tech explanation etc in fields of Internet of things, Computers and Mobile devices (General software related), this is paid role with forum benefits, if you're interested, please send me a PM Any feedback welcome! - Diablo (Eudemon)

    there was some conflict over our official discord which I won't go into details, in short some culture clash from merger because one member doesn't want to see certain content. I want to take this opportunity to address the decision behind merger: there are multiple reasons for merger, one is both communities are dying, it is easier to pour resources to revive one than both cost is another factor, lot of web services and application license fees are tied to the domain, essentially paying double amount third is development burden, when patch, adding new feature, configuration, APIs, custom themes, modules, server, social / email marketing, templates, group control will otherwise require double amount of dev time fourth is human resources, it is much easier to recruit on a larger community, and the activities attract other activities I have expected some clash due to merger, Facebook has billions of users, you can't expect all of them share same interests, and I have carefully structured categories based on different need and interest, and those who doesn't like can avoid them it is human nature to fear changes, especially when introduced in their comfort zone, but imagine if I left TDuck of what it was, what it is gonna happen in another couple years? think about it. It is far easier to manage one community than two, especially they now share same system. I remain positive that the benefit of merger and recent changes far far outweigh any drawback

    I have been long thinking having a separate server to serve files transfers, maybe time to try do it sooner so we can provide huge file downloads Likely be in AWS S3 , so good luck trying to break Amazon server with too many downloads

    Total user in 30 days period up 70% compare to last 30 days, total session up 39% however bounce rate up 18% (this is most likely due to mass email brought back a lot of user who left second after visiting

    I want to have our official download as only source to download it (assuming the project will gain some visibilities on other site and stating in the project that redistribution of upload is not allowed, hopefully that will convert to some site traffic of course if you're not a fan of that then we won't do it

    It checks whether account already exist or not, Usually it is tied to email, say I login with Facebook or Twitter or discord I get the same diablo account

    Many contributors here kind of knows that lot of questions is repeated and some of the answers just need a little update I am collecting feedback on if we open wiki style guide page for answers to common questions (anyone can edit, revisions are saved to allow roll back) so if someone is looking for, or asking similar question, we can direct them there do you support the idea? are you open to adding or modifying guides? let me know
