  1. I really haven't taken to the Huayra, it's just not got the wow factor that the Zonda had, and still has. Maybe this newer model will change that.
  2. [headline]This Weekend I will be playing...[/headline] After a hectic working week it's good to just chill and relax and for some that is taken up with some gaming time and if that's the case come on and share what it is you are playing, or will try and play amongst the usual relatives making an appearance, kids needing something, partner wanting you to do something for them RIGHT NOW! or anything else that always crops up just at that 'Press Start' moment. And if you can get the grandparents involved even better!
  3. This is a game that is making waves and hopefully it will live up to the hype. I find it weird the special edition console is a 500GB model, this game takes up 55GB itself!
  4. The trio setup didn't work well for other Top Gear shows around the world so it makes sense not to follow on that format but instead go for something new. I still do not like that they have Evans, I just don't like him. When he does The One Show on Fridays his voice grates my ears so much. So I wonder how he and some of the others are going to be used? Possibly something like a presenting team and a driving team? Having Harris is a massive tick, Sabine too. Need to see how Matt and the other guy play off everyone and convey their own experiences in the cars and the other topics that will get discussed. Maybe it's even a starting large and seeing what sticks work plan by the BBC. Guess we'll need to wait and see. :hmmm:
  5. DiRT Rally Console Preview With the clock counting down to the console release of DiRT Rally in April, Codemasters have thrown up a new video of their recent twitch stream, taking us through the ins-and-outs of the console version of DiRT Rally and answering - and swerving - questions from the community. The video lasting over 50 mins goes through a lot about the game, giving a detailed full run down of what those who purchase the game can expect. The early parts take us through how the game will begin with players in a Classic Mini and the new Rallycross 1600 Series, a tiny bit of information about the "very rear-engined" Alpine A110 and then some words of the legal challenges that were faced in regards to Sébastien Loeb's Pikes Peak monster, the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak, and how it can only be kept to the modern tarmac version in the game; where we are then treated to some game footage of the car on said course. Console players are idiots... sorry what I mean to say is that the next topic discussed is the new advanced driving videos that are there for those who are new to rallying, or typically keep their racing on the black stuff. Some technical aspects are also confirmed with both consoles being 60fps -- PS4 is 1080p, with the Xbox One mostly being the same, but dynamically reducing to 900p if the occasion should arise in order to keep the frame rate up. Alongside the talk of the new trio of Colin McRae liveries that are coming and the start of the Q&A, we are catered to an Alpine being run on a snowy stage. Information that can be gleaned from the Q&A: Little chance of a livery editor due to the way the cars are built and the amount of work involved in bringing something like that to the game however they did mention that they "have potential thoughts how they can support this kind of stuff" Australia's chances of getting in the game are "on the list" but not at the front, just like places such as "New Zealand" and "Ireland" The Fanatec handbrake is seemingly supported as long as you have the Fanatec Base They have tweaked the Masters races to be slightly easier Group B cars are on the wishlist to come to Rallycross Console versions are essentially running High but with tweaks and optimisations (uhoh... what's that ominous glow?) There is no plan to add livery packs They are aware of the want for custom language Pace Notes however it's a tricky area Revamping the car classes in the career is something they will look at in the future but not with DiRT Rally Game feels good with a pad (Xbox One Rumble triggers support) Working on driver for newer AMD cards on Windows 10 Thrustmaster T100 supported on PS4 Cross-platform multiplayer of PS4 and Xbox One not with DiRT Rally S1600 only on Rally Cross stages DiRT Rally is out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 5th, 2016.
  6. Einstein was a seriously smart individual. To have the foresight and belief that this is going on without having the proper means of testing really blows my mind. And that's a shame about Philae but to be honest, the fact it even managed to land on the comet is a feat in itself, and it did do well with what it managed to send back helping us understand more about these lumps of rock, that no doubt deliver life throughout the universe to planets who have the right set of ingredients to do so, but just need that little bit extra to kickstart the reaction.
  7. Need 4K Speed The PC version of Need for Speed 2015 is now dated for March 15th, 2016 and in typical EA fashion the developer Ghost Games haven't listened to a single want from the PC fan base, they've listened to almost ALL OF THEM!! Last year when the delay on PC became known, it was said that it would be well worth waiting for and that the extra time would allow them to truly focus on making the PC version a proper PC title. And from the trailer released announcing the March release date, you can hardly dispute this as the need of your typical PC player appears to be catered for: Super-high 4K Resolution, unlocked framerate (a BIG ONE!), Steering Wheel/clutch support and tons of settings to customise. Ghost Games really look to have taken a look at what the PC player base have been critical of with past examples and worked to bring these features and options back, and for that you have to applaud them. Need for Speed for PC is out March 15th, 2016. Manual Transmission for Console? Despite the trailer being for the PC the official Need for Speed twitter responded to a query about Manual Transmission and assured that it "will be coming to consoles in an upcoming update". 8. Mr Anderson you should not sell yourself short in your own ability here mate as most of these are damn good. The Koeni ones especially and that last R34.
  9. NEED FOR MANUAL SPEED Earlier today the official Need for Speed twitter posted a video showing a malfunctioning tachometer seemingly having trouble changing from 1st and 2nd without bouncing off the limiter. Ooor it could be a tease of manual transmission coming to the game. As you may or may not know the latest NFS only has automatic transmission available for use (as did some of the more recent ones) which for many of us makes us cry, curl up into a ball and pray to the driving gods for us to be able to virtually hold a long-hard stick in our hands that we can tug back and forth. Yeah so, thankfully if this is what it is then we won't have a long wait as the tease mentions tomorrow, the 11th February as being the date when they will show us something. Come on Ghost Games, let us shift into gear! Note: the link in the tweet takes you to a subscribe-confirmation page for the official NFS channel.
  10. HARDCORE STREET RACING If there is one thing DRIVECLUB has lacked that mostly all arcade racing titles have, it is city locations. From tomorrow however that will no longer be the case, as part of this year's February update (v1.26) will contain a brand new city track based in Scotland, called Old Town. The new location will come in six variants, is available across the main game and the BIKES expansion and is what is hopefully the first in a series of metropolis street racing environments to come. For those players who are into wanting their vehicles naked... in the assists department, there is a new Hardcore handling mode giving the sort of challenge, that as the name suggests, will require precision, speed and a demeanour that could border on a bit psychopathic. Virtual photographers who have cursed not being able to get those great shots online when with friends can cheer loudly as the new 'Photo Mode' setting in Private Lobbies will make doing that all that so much easier along with much more that you can find in the changelog detailed below. DRIVECLUB v1.26 Update The newest track “Scotland – Old Town” is here, offering 6 track variants to play across all DRIVECLUB & DRIVECLUB BIKES game modes. A new “Hardcore Handling” option is now available, turning off traction control, stability control & other assists. Enable this in Gameplay Settings for a more realistic driving experience. Multiplayer Private lobbies have a new ‘Photo mode’ setting to help you choreograph photos and videos with friends. This disables ghosting, wrong way timers and automated reset to track scenarios. Photo mode screen filters can now be enabled outside of photo mode, while you race. Photo mode now offers extended Zoom and Exposure settings, plus all settings persist between photo captures during an event. Replays have a new option to toggle player tags on and off at any time during the replay when you use the L1 Button. The Dynamic Precipitation option has been improved to reduce the likelihood of persistent rain. 10 new Elite Levels have been added (new cap is 35). 10 new Driver Levels have been added (new cap is 95) with new livery rewards to unlock along the way. 25 new Club Levels have been added (new cap is 85) with new livery rewards to unlock along the way. The loading screen for DRIVECLUB and DRIVECLUB BIKES now show off 2 awesome new #PS4share community photos. Fixed the ‘Weekend Warrior’ Trophy for DRIVECLUB BIKES. Ranking up the KTM 1290 Super Duke R to Bike Level 15 is now no longer a requirement. Includes general improvements for game performance, stability and usability. And all of that is FREE! That's not all for February though, as the update prepares for the forthcoming "No Limits" and "Suzuki" Expansions which will be dropping onto the PlayStation Store on February 23rd. "No Limits" features six events and five trophies along with two new cars: first and foremost of these is the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V-Spec II -- a car that is always asked for no matter what the game is about. Yes, even Bloodborne has probably at some point been asked to include a version of the Japanese legend that is known as 'GODZILLA'. The second is another little famous Japanese rocket of the Honda Civic Type-R. "Suzuki" will astonishingly include two Suzuki bikes: the Suzuki GSX-R1000 & Suzuki GSX-S1000 ABS which are no doubt as fast as a flea jumping off a scalded cat! Just to be clear then. Everything is free except for the paid Expansion Pack DLC. Enjoying the game but have noone to talk to? Join our forums and have that no more!
  11. Are these skills that were achievable before without a Pack car or are these new ones added with the Wild Run update?
  12. Assetto Corsa Track Updates Kunos Simulazioni began the development of Assetto Corsa back in 2011 and since then they have learned a lot more about how to go about creating assets, modelling and gathering accurate track data via laser-scanning, as well as increasing their staff numbers and financials. And so, some of the older tracks are showing their age compared to their newer counterparts due to missing out on the new found knowledge and methods that are now being used. However in a gesture that you would not usually expect to see, after all it would be easy to leave them as is and commit to making everything from now on to the current standard, Kunos are going to update and improve these older environments. In fact, they have already started optimising circuits including "Vallelunga, Nurburgring GP, Mugello, Magione, Imola, Silverstone, Monza, Spa Francorchamps, as well as the Nordschleife". The upgraded versions of which you can check out some comparisons in the gallery below, will come for free as part of the 1.5 update, currently under development. With the forthcoming console release you could say they had to do this anyway but we like to believe this is the kind of team Kunos are; always wanting to better themselves and bring their new knowledge and use it to benefit not only what is to come, but also the what is already available. 13. Another terrific selection of pics from you mate, you guys choose some nice colours for your rides and that first Zonda shot is :cbme2:.
  14. :oook: Roads? Where we're going we don't have roads. That pic makes your car look like a pet.
  15. Turned it off about 90mins from the end as the stream stopped but caught-up on that which I missed out on and that was a damn nice end to the race. Really was rooting for the McLaren to take it especially as it was in that colour :duck: but major props to the GT-R driver for thrashing the nuts and bolts trying to catch up. It did feel like the McLaren was taking it easier but 1 more lap and I think it would have been a different story! Glad to see that the Bathurst races are getting a more international broadcast too, as it's one of the legendary circuits that every racing fan wants to see now and again.
  16. Hey there CLR, I see it is your birthday today and even though I thought about posting this only in the chatbox as that's where you tend to live :cheeky:, I thought it better to post you up a thread and allow others who don't chat so often to offer their best wishes to you too. :cheeese: I know you've had a tough time lately and I wish you and your family all the very best for the future mate. :bparty:
  17. That last one has an incredible angle on it. Great shot!
  18. Hey there, welcome to tduck. The search function and mod muppets should be able to help you out with any queries you have.
  19. I said I would just glance at this but finding it being streamed LIVE on youtube which I can then watch via my console has had me glued since it essentially started. I think the Radio Le Mans commentator helps in keeping my attention too. I'll probably not watch it till the end though unless it looks like a real close fight for the win. :sootired:
  20. You really know how to capture a good atmosphere in your pics. That BMW in the city though is an absolute belter!
  21. How did the SLS not collect the Porsche there?!
  22. Was enjoying the night racing but it didn't last long. :(
  23. Will glance in at this at times. Thanks for the link.
  24. The older Simbin games are great with a wheel. Cars can be a real handful and verge on too hard and not realistic but it gets you well versed in using a wheel, pedals and such for others. TDU1 is still one of the best for an all-round setup just for the way you can go at your own pace and have a massive environment to do it on.
  25. That is a nice setup after all, like the way it is all dark and due to this it blends in more with the surroundings. Reaching the glass during gameplay could be a bit of a stretch though. :D
