Need For Speed World Online Beta

I got an email late last night about getting invited into the beta and I am thrilled but I only noticed it this evening. *facepalm*

 

Anyway, I am just wondering if anyone else here managed to get into it? I am downloading as I speak and it's about 750mb to download which isn't too bad. I will let you know how it goes and what I think of it after I have played it. The end of the beta trial is sometime on Monday afternoon as it is only up as a closed beta for that period of time.

 

I've never actually taken part in a beta programme before, so this shall be interesting. :cool:

Yeah I got into it too. It is quite cool, but to me it feels like a game that gets boring and repetitive very quickly. Hopefully the final version will be different...

I didn't bother to even try to apply to the beta. It certainly is going to be intresting but I'll wait for the final version.

Just to bump this topic, I got an email today telling me I had been chosen to test the new beta. :S

It's just dawned on me that the last time I visited the WO website, the Beta signup form was Live but not working (Live testing or something). Are they still taking signups for Beta? I'd end up at the bottom of a long list I guess. I've got spare Google Wave invites if that helps? :cheeky:

i didnt seem to get a formal beta confirmation, i was a little confused about why they sent me a powerup speed boost code today, but i went to the website and was able to download the beta and sign in to play.

I've applied for the Beta, so we'll see what happens. I did a quick YouTube search and I don't appear to be missing out on too much atm.

 

If you have issues getting the NFS Beta working, please post at the NFS forums (more chance of you getting help there)

This Beta is much better than the early build there is still connection lag that I hate but it's getting better.

 

TDU2 has nothing to worry about though as long as the connection works this time.
