Although the production only ended very recently, the news that the viper was being killed off is rather old :)

That Viper is disgusting, I've never liked them anyway.

I read a few years back that they were gonna kill the Viper line.

None-the-less it doesn't really bother me.

I was aware of this as well, and it made me quite sad at first, but now i've learned how to live with it. Love the looks on that car, too bad i won't be able to see it evolve any further.

I thought there was a new model planned to replace its position in the program...

Well the Viper isn't my favorite car, but I don't hate it. I have no feelings though good or bad for it's departure.

It's always disappointing to see any kind of motoring icon (vehicle wise) die, no matter what it is. It may not be the best looking car or have excelled in any area but it's hard to ignore it's presence.

Agree with Tom, that is the best looking viper, the new models are ugly. I was shocked when I heard about this but I can live without it. Shame though, viper is pretty legendary

I liked it when I was a lot younger (i.e. 1997), but they never really did much since then, so I don't care that they're leaving.

Unlike the majority of you here, I will shed a tear for this car. You'll never be able to imagine the impact this car had on me as a four or five year old, thanks to the VIPER TV show. The '96 GTS was, is, and always will be, my no.1 favourite car.

RIP Dodge Viper, you'll be missed :'(

The things involving Vipers that had most impact on me were the black 1:18 of Bburago of which I broke the passenger-backrest, and the game Viper Racing with the I-want-them-back Hornball and ''suspension''-cam :p

Funny enough today I've seen my second Viper in the wild, it was a german registered silver roadster of this generation passing through my street. The only other one was somewhere early 90s a red R/T 10 roadster...

i have one of them! :D a '97 GTS coupe in red with white stripes and gold wheels, i had that out alot back when i got it haha

still, always a shame to see it go, but maybe it will get a worthy replacement :cheeky: not hard to improve on it anyway :rolleyes:

^^^^^FINALLY someone who knows something about the whole deal lol yes that gold on gold viper is the last one of the current gen and there is no replacement (because daimler stole it:mad:) but Ralph Gilles and his team are still considering bringing back a redesigned viper in a few years and he has said himself that it will have no ferrari DNA :thumbsup:
