Who the hell thought you might be able to gamble with real money? Are people that stupid that we need clarification that it's in game currency only? Scary.

 

Given that people are stupid enough to participate in online gambling, I'd say yes.

i can't believe eden would have us all gambling in the casino with real money. i just don't believe it would be right.

however i can see many parallels between the lifestyle customisation of tdu2 and that of ps home. buying premium lifestyle customisation items is surely an easily implemented and epic money spinner.

as t. pointed out though this will only widen the appeal to a larger audience while those that are abhorred by such things can easily choose not to spend :)

But seriously, in what way would real money fit the product? And how would this dovetail into the actual game - stand-alone or not? If I won $100,000 (ingame currency) at the poker table I can go and by a slick ride, and ultimately - that's why I play the game.

 

What you are talking about is a completely different proposition, aimed at an entirely different demographic and, as you say, pkr offer this service already, so play both :)

Nevermind. I understand Casino Online looks pretty good for a standalone game, and real internet gambling for those who dare, but I don't get why people want to change so much TDU when they can just look what they want somewhere else. This is a driving game and it's core will always be. If they want to use the Casino Online for other stuff completetly apart from the game well perfect. TDU did become a little of something else with the avatars and the casino but driving will always have the mayor focus.

SimCity rocks. Perfect music and gameplay. All the Rush Hour U-Drive-It stuff was fun too, until I accidentally blew up the small international airport in a tank missile tutorial mission...

Also, won't this game become bandwidth consuming because you will have to download other people cars vinyls and what car they driving?

Don't think anyone will know about how to get specific cars until the game is released.

 

And I'm sure they've thought about the bandwidth troubles that will come with the vinyls and they'll more than likely be somewhat compressed.

For now, the R8 and C8 Spyders are said to be unobtainable in the normal game, and you can clearly see the R8 has to be won through a slotmachine in the recent trailers. The C8 was also near some tables, I think for poker, so I'm like 98% sure you can only win them.

You may be able to get the same casino through DLC without preordering.. They say it will be DLC but idk if it'll be packaged with the cars as well. GMDeastra doesn't seem to want to answer my questions. :sulk:

It's because he's constantly trying to get things clarified, I was speaking to him early this morning and sent a few questions his way you guys have been asking and he's doing his best to find out about them. Also some cool things in the works him and the team have plans for so it's a case of wait and see at the moment.

I'm late to this whole topic and with good reason!

 

From what i've gathered Then this is DLC(for As i guessed, age reasons which is more than a good reason). Theres a chanse of winning 2 cars from playing in the casino. Theres Poker, Roulett and Slots to play. And its allingame currency(as i expected)

 

So Personally i cant see why everyones in a bit of a tizz!

 

One thing i would be intestd in is is it online only? And hopefully for oline you'l be able to do private games!

 

And This could be a very good thing for people, think about it. You go there as soon as you start the game and you win a million. That means you can go and Buy whatever car you want near enough!
