Also if you run an AMD graphics card, you can try renaming the Gold exe for pCARS to 3DMark.exe for a performance boost (waiting for AMD to provide a specific 'profile' for pCARS - borrowing the 3DMark one atm).

so after 2 months I've downloaded the game again and gave it a go. Well 2 months ago the game was consecutively getting worse with each update. I didn't see any particular changes although I'm happy to say the game is back where it was before it was completely broken, despite the fact that multiplayer can't handle more than 8 players. The FFB seems to be improved a little but still very dull compared to other sims. I messed around with the settings a bit and tried out suggested ones but they only make things worse. Anyway as it is right know I'll probably won't be buying the game. I don't know how much more I can get out of the retail version compared to what it is now.

that's why I've tried it with other sims to see if it was my wheel but nope, it's working perfectly fine

yeah I always turn it up to 120% on the profiler whenever I play pcars, there is something wrong with the whole engine it's not the settings. After trying out hundreds of them I finally came into the conclusion.

hm I missed the master scale, I'll give that a go, altho the other settings are as described. However this is kind of the problem I'm having with the game, I have to tweak it so much to make it descent and then a patch comes in there goes all my effort. Wheres in AC for example I didn't have to set up anything, it pretty much did everything for me.

True, but it's almost always been fine for me, with no adjustments beyond deleting profile, mapping controls, and doing the linearity wizard. And given how popular the G27 is I'd expect to see a flood of complaints if it was that bad for everyone. :confused:

oh and this happened 2 days ago, I decided to browse some online races, entered this one lobby and the host was not allowing any aids, I said to him well I drive with aids you know what he said? ''It's more realistic this way I won't allow it''.... AS IF WE ARE ACTUALLY THERE AND RACING. god how much I hate racing sim community... I think cod fans that are under 12 years old speak more sense.

Thanks Ry at least for keeping the updates coming as always, seeing as Ozz says the game has improved I might have to jump back in shortly, the Mk1 Escort and BAC Mono have been crying out for me :lol:

yeah I had high expectations, honestly I'm mostly bitter about the poor car list. You can cover up a lot with a good car list. But hey priorities... Also I like honesty in developers and the whole pcars marketing team is a scam.
