no need to repack to .big or .map, just listen :

1 ==> Unpack your game with quick bms (its done for you)

2 ==> Download and install Knyazev launcher (copy paste the files in the main root of TDU2)

3==> Put your modded bnk in "EURO/BNK/.....and in sub folder required

4==> Launch "TDU2_UniLauncher.exe", choose online or offline and IT WORKS , (if the software says there is a problem, you need to go to seetings to set the path of TDU2 folder)

Just a note:

Was running into an similar problem such as Frosticless[uK].

I haven't started the game for a few days now and I'm not sure, what i have changed last.

Today the game was crashing after first loading-screen with Launcher 1.4 & 1.5. But the original packed game (in another folder) was still running fine!

After unpacking an copy of fresh v27b11files, everthing is running fine again (with Launcher 1.5)!

So if you run into similar problems,

check if the game itself (original/packed) is still working on your system.

undo last changes on unpacked game or just unpack the game again to start with fresh and clean files.

Best regards

Stefan

Hello,

did I miss something, or isn't the old 0.97 exe needed anymore?

In other words, does it run unpacked with the latest launcher and the actual testdrive2.exe?

See, some time ago, I used the old exe (after the DLC1) with an old launcher version with the results, that the car physics (speed, ...) weren't the same like others had with packed files (e.g. my slr reached 350 km/h max and others did 375 km/h) and furthermore I had no more access to casino.

I remember, when I published here my first tool for TDU2 :D

It was the TDU2: Universal Launcher v0.1.

Topic with this tool was deleted in one day. I don't knew the reasons for which this topic was removed.

If i don't wrong, I got the warning.

A good time was! :D

Update:

Now I thinking about new GUI of this launcher(v2.0).

I think, my launcher (v1.5) not be work after DLC2...

  • 1 month later...

I just read about an official handling update which came with last update - is anything known about this here? I think I cant use my TDU2 if I would update it with the atari launcher.

I think I had to reinstall TDU2 if I would update it, right?

Any chance to get a new universal launcher in future?

every time i go to play the game i cant get online i get this problem with the universal launcher ~pic~

I am having this problem as well, and I have no idea if it is something I am missing out. Anyway, in TDU Info it says I have "Strict NAT" (red) and that game servers are unavailable. However, if I launch via normal UpLauncher, the game works fine (servers available and Open NAT).

Is there some sort of issue that I am not seeing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Do you use the actual version (DLC1) with appropriate .exe?

I'm asking this, cause i've several versions on my hdd and by an mistake i started an older version (not updated to DLC1) with the "Uni-Launcher" online. During that i've got the same mentioned message "server not available".

Perhaps it's helpful.

Best regards,

Stefan

Old TDU2 exe's doesn't work now in online. (it's v017 Explo, v097 and oldest...). It's fixes in the servers!

Problem isn't in my launcher.

Forgive me, but I don't understand. I have "tdu2 explo v027 build11" patch installed. Do you suggest an older or a newer patch to fix the problem?

I had v097 patch installed when I backed up the game (and I have just replaced files with backup). Then I downloaded explo v027 patch, and just extracted it into TDU folder, and replaced files. Is this maybe the problem?

Thanks :)

So tomorrow i'll just have to move files from backup folder into main installation and run the game launcher right?

Yes. UpLauncher will be check the original game files. (all *.big, *.map, *.xmb and *.cpr files, placed in root folder of the game.)

I have read in the official ATARI TDU2 community yesterday.

There was a statement by an official ATARI administrator - he said, people who play online and are cheating, get this message you show in the picture!!

I think "cheating" also means using some tools you can download here. Not sure if I am right, but I think so. Sorry, can´t find this thread now, but I really read about this.
