It's weird the they choose the 180SX that was sold on Japan and not the 240SX that was the US version since the game is set in california by looking at the plates of the 180sx pic

I'm not too sure on that (care to explain why it's a 930?), because it seems to be at the very least heavily based on Pandora One, which is a '90 Carrera 4:

 

 

Noticed this when an article hinted at real life tuning, possibly with RWB taking the 911's. And what do you know? They did a bright green 911, which is a 964, looking veeeeeeeery similar to the one in the trailer. Very similar yes, because the game car seems to feature a central air intake in the bumper which Pandora One doesn't have.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I completely forgot about the RWB Stella (Nakai-San's own car), it indeed is he real deal because it also has three pipes, because Speedhunters have good connection with RWB and because there's a Rocket Bunny sticker on the Subaru BRZ. So that means we'll see licensed aftermarket things.

Forgot about the 930, and i guessed it was a 964 by the trailer and knowing that the 993 was released in 1993-94.

 

Although, you're wrong about the 180SX. That's an american 180SX S13, which can only be a "Chuki", and a S13 will never be a Zenki or Kouki, because both are S14's. If you're reffering to the 180SX Fastback Type-X from 1996, which is a true JDM car (Only sold in Japan), i tell you that those round lights could be an aftermarket part, bought easily at any tuner shop, which was available for the 180SX since Underground 1 and it's a common modification done in 180SX's.

 

It's the same 180SX they used since then. American 180SX S13 model, but not the pignose.

Edit 2: Ok, i've said a lot of poop. Hahaha i thought NFS always used a 180SX model and badges in their previous games, apparently they didn't and made it right, the previous S13 models were badged 240SX, which is the correct name for the S13 US spec, and in this new one, it's badged as 180SX indeed... so, it can be a JDM.

 

 

Although, this tailight is really an aftermarket part, as the original late S13 180SX tailight has a red background, instead of smoked.

930, I believe, is only the Turbo model. That generation is named "G-Series, G-Modell." but that's just nitpicking.

 

Partially wrong. There were three different models (aka facelifts) and they were reffered to as Zenki, Chuki and Kouki; with Kouki being Japan-only. S13's came to the USA only as 240SX's. Kouki, among other modifications, had those round taillights. And yes, they are very popular.

 

SHIFT 2 had a 240SX so I don't why they did not use that one (using the same model over and over is unfortunately a normal thing in car games).

Maybe the 180SX is a 240SX and you have the possibility of transforming into a 180sx by changing the badges, since people may do that so they can say their 240SX is a 180SX imported form Japan until you open the bonnet and see that 2.4 instead of the 1.8 or 2.0

I think it will have licensed kits but you can choose the individual parts so you can make the full kit or mix and match like how Juiced 2 did it.
