Title: Test Drive Unlimited 1 Platinum Mod: Invisible Police Cars and Crash Issues

Hello everyone,

I’m playing the Platinum Mod for Test Drive Unlimited 1, but the police cars are not visible. I keep crashing, and it’s ruining the enjoyment of the game. Has anyone experienced similar issues before? Do you have any solutions to help me out?

Indeed, as I was expecting. Thanks for clarification.

I was just paranoid if my possible wrong base game version was causing couple of small issuses like black screen after ALT TAB.

A lot of games from that time struggled with alt+tab recovery.  Download and configure an app called Borderless Gaming to workaround the issue.

If the mod is still in development I have suggestions how to make some cameras useful for driving. Idk if its possible to mod such things, but I play racing games whole life and discovered how camera movement in conjuction with the car affects the ability to feel the inertias and especially the direction the car is aiming so my eyes then can easily calculate the angle of drift I am in.
Bruh, its already a paragraph, Classic.

The more the camera reflects the car, the better.
The front bumper camera is the only one doing this.

The far rear camera is actualy far better than in most other games,  but still some yaw, I would make it adjustable like in CMR2.

Cockpit camera completely sux, unplayable, extremely drunk camera movement to the sides. Forward/backward movement reflecting acceleration is ok, but never the sides.
Recent Raceroom and its predecesors Race07/GTR Evolution are a great example how to do it right and its awesome immersion. 
Edit: And cockpit camera should be also much more back.

Thx for great mod, this is first Im able to drive XJ220 in any game btw.

I've always been a big fun of TDU 1. and decided to play again after long years. I heard the platinum mod and downloaded. Everything was fine till I encountered the problem on specific car missions. In Original game, These missions were mostly completable by rental cars. But the platinum mod replaces almost all rental cars with different models. A hitchiker mission requires Jaguar E-Type Coupe. I rented it but she did not accept. Now i have to buy it by 350.000 USD only for a 4km mission which i'll earn 4 t-shirts with tickets??? This is senseless..

Many other cars which requested for missions are not even rentable in Platinum mod. I will be glad if there is any solution instead of buying all those requested cars.
P.S. I opened 10 V-rent locations.

As secondary, the game map showing all important places (hidden missions, hidden places etc) was very helpful when i played the game many years ago. But now i could not find that map anywhere. I would be glad if anyone could share.

Hi all! 

Please tell me how to add new cars to the game with a normal 1st person view, with normal physics behavior. 

Many cars are outdated and I would like to add Mercedes 63GT, BMW M5 F90, BMW M4 2022, BMW X5M, X6M, X7, Range rover, Porche Taycan, BMW M8. 

There is also a TDU salon and a TDU car, which have a faulty model and cannot be played in 1st person. 

New cars would make the game fresher.

I don't know what i've done wrong while trying to install the mod. When i try to run it i says that i'm missing MSVCR71.dll and binkw32.dll files. Can anyone help me out?

Maybe it is important to start with clean (unmodified) original game files, see if game is launching, if yes, then proceed and follow exactly the steps in the platinum installer readme/tutorial file. Do not click tickboxes in the Paradise launcher (this is how you launch the game, not original exe but the Project Paradise launcher exe file). Some installation steps are also mentioned here.

Hello All, I have only one issue with this fantastic mod, when I launch a specific race the game crashes while loading it (on the map if I launch it by the map ; and on the street before the race launch is displayed if i launch it by the road)

I was looking for a fix but couldn't find any that works. And I was also looking for a career progress edit tool or savegame editor but it does not seem to exist.

I play on version 1.21 but it was already bugged with version 1.12.

The name of the race is "110 mph on a winding route", unlocked at champion level, and located north-west of the map.

If anyone has a hint for a solution
