do have a few questions.

  1. Can the in-game play menu or hit left and select options up/down as you use to be able to on controller, can that still be done?
  2. Can a controller with progressive triggers be used for gas and brake vs just on and off?
  3. I have it set to 4k res, 4x Anti-aliasing, 60, the cars seem to free out have some ghost cars that I hit, anything about this?
  4. I also have tried to do the fuel refill option, but cant seem to get it to load in?
  5. Last one, the pictures for the dealers or races when in the map do not show any info or image. any ideas?

 

Update 4/1/25

I was able to figure out how to get the control to control the radio and the channels.

I was also able to fix a bug with the game not launching on the Paradise launcher. I could only get it to start game on the actual title itself. I ended up deleting everything and starting from scratch again, even the saved game as I think that was goofy too.

Now that I have the paradise launcher working I now have

  • Gas gauge working
  • Atmospheric perspective is now there and looks more like how I remember it, which makes a huge difference in visual appearance.
  • The sky has more detail and sun rays.
  • Paint on the cars look better.
  • Trees even look better
  • Roads are in fact more detailed
  • The bot cars are completely normal, as well as traffic.
  • No more ghost cars I am running into, and even traffic would run into ghost cars.

Can't thank these wizards enough on making this game real again.

Already have drove 200 miles haha

4gb executables folder is missing from the Extra folder after downloading. 

Any advice? Am I missing something? Can I download this on it's own somewhere?

I had same issue, downloaded clean game then installed Platinum mod

Worked for me

I have never read about dealership rotation, dealerships are fixed as they were set by the pack maintainer.

As a layman I do not know what is progressive trigger. My Xbox one allows gradually manage the throttle, it is not fluent, but i think that it is internal management by the TDU which hardly can be changed. Like a steering gap (you are steering a little, but car does not react) in the middle I am facing on a Xbox One.

Check your computer for viruses and add the game to your firewall's exceptions. Malware can cause problems.

Hey! Apologies if that's been asked already, but going through the cars stats at various tuning levels I found a curiosity that I can't quite make sense of myself and hope somebody can explain what's going on:

There are a few instances where car A has a higher "SPD" stat (the one on a scale from 0 to 100) than car B, but car B has higher Top Speed (the one in absolute units, mph or km/h depending on metric settings) than car A.

The particular example I stumbled across was according to Gee Tee's spreadsheet:

  • Cadillac CTS-V with Cadillac tuning at level 2: SPD=81, VMax=244
  • Cadillac CTS-V with Cadillac tuning at level 3: SPD=78, VMax=255

I haven't found the car in game yet, but trying to plan ahead this has really confused me about which of the two stats to base decisions on, or understand whether there is a nuanced difference between what the two are exactly saying.

Some of the values are missing in the sheet as well and I can't verify yet whether those stats match the ingame values in this particular case, but from the cars I did encounter so far it seems like everything has been parsed faithfully.

So is this a data collection error, if yes does anybody have a more complete spreadsheet with the car stats, if no what does such a discrepancy mean exactly?

Thanks in advance for any kind soul helping to clear that up!

Cadillac CTS-V has several generations of cars, which naturally have different characteristics, including speed. For example, the first generation was produced from 2004 to 2007. It was equipped with 5.7-liter and 6.0-liter V8 engines with a power output of 400 horsepower. The maximum speed was 257 km/h, and it took 5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.
The second generation was produced from 2009 to 2014. It received a new 6.2-liter V8 with 556 hp (564 hp in Europe). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 282 km/h for the automatic model and 308 km/h for the manual model.
The third generation was produced from 2016 to 2019. It features a new 6.2-liter V8 engine with a power output of 649 horsepower and a torque of 855 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 322 km/h.

Hi andrey! I appreciate your response and detailed context about the CTS-V in particular, but unfortunately that doesn't answer my actual question. Inside the game, how can one car have higher top speed than the other according to the SPD stat, but the other has higher top speed than the one according to the top speed stat? If the two are supposed to tell the same thing just in different units, this should be impossible. I hope I phrased it more succinctly this time.

I have indeed reached the dev now and want to share what I've learned with anyone else who is wondering.

It turns out that this came down to a typo in the spreadsheet I found. We can indeed expect the Spd stat and top speed to be monotonic.

For the car in particular, at tuning level 3 it was Spd=88, not 78. There are about 30 other cars in the sheet whose speed stats suspiciously often contradict top speed relative to other cars in their class, which strongly suggests these are typos as well. There could be typos in other columns which cannot be cross-validated from redundancy as well.

I'll try to extract the car stats from the game files and if that doesn't work, have to collect the data manually very diligently if I want correct data.
