I also tried to run Platinum Mod recently and they also said the same thing and I also have installed it for the base clean game afaik. Then when that one doesn't work, I also tried to run the Platinum Mod directly by reinstall the different, torrent one and that one has all the same files as the base one, but with of course the many new and different cars from TurboDuck here and it also unfortunately didn't work for me either and even if I tried to inster those two files, it still won't work...

Also damn it. I tried to insert those two requested files and now this error...

2025 here, I'm getting an instant crash as soon as I try to run the game unless I remove the d3d9.dll

If I remove the d3d9.dll the game loads to the last intro screen before the game actually boots to the start screen and THEN crashes. 

I've read forum after forum trying to find a fix and nothing suffices. Am I missing something? Was I supposed to download ALL of the mega files? I only downloaded the last one which was a zip because when I viewed the folders they were all the same files in each package on mega.

Can someone help? What am I supposed to do with the 5 Z0x (numbered 1-5) files and the zip folder? I am able to view 1-3 as 7z archives, but 4 and 5 I cannot view. And the first 3 Z0 files all have the same files and folders as the zip. What am I missing here?

TDU was one of my favorite games, this mod adds a nice amount,

Thanks to the makers of the mod and modding tools, i adjusted some of the cars handling, edited bot to be more challenging, and reduced traffic. Increased rewards also, because there is so many cars to buy and more expensive.

Hiya! New to modding! Not new to TDU. Is it possible, or has there been a way to download the patch without a torrent or mega.nz? Apparently I "used all my quota" on mega.. when I havent really used it at all. Think they're trying to push their subscription stuff on me. And I dont use torrents at all. Is it on mediafire by any chance?

Why so? It's easy and safe in this case, as it's a mod, and not some sketchy software. Many Linux distros are distributed this way.

It's the best way to get TDU Platinum IMO. Just install qbittorrent or Transmission (both are open source) and load the torrent file from the Downloads section.

No. Torrent is the easiest and quickest way to get it. It's a mod, not a software so its not a virus. Get uTorrent and leech it, there are enough seeders so its downloading very quickly. If youre categorically declining downloading via torrent, youre out of luck. The mod creator cant tailor to everyone individually

Do not get uTorrent, it's a cryptominer. Instead, use qBitTorrent, which is safer.

I am really tired right now. Tried installing the mod for 5 times already and was be able to play for about one session. I quit the game to do some work and when i came back, lo and behold the game just crashed. Just a black screen and crashed immediately. Can someone please help me because this is just a nightmare

I struggled with this for hours when I installed this a couple of days ago (also for some reason after installation it launched once). I'm assuming you're on W10/W11 and have display scaling on (if you have a like a 1440p or 4K monitor).

Can't remember the exact name for the setting on W10, but in W11 it's Settings -> System -> Display and under "Scale & layout" you need to put "Scale" to 100%. Any higher and it'll crash, gotta do it every time you wanna play the game (if you need the display scaled higher for other use). No crashes ever since. None of the DPI settings under the game exe properties helped for me on W11 at least (got it to launch every now and then, but that's not a solution).

I found a bunch of people asking for a solution to this exact problem on different forums etc. and disabling scaling was the fix for everyone. Maybe it should be added to the FAQ-section of this first post?
