the solution is to make a version with less details coz to replace the file it must be smaller or equal the original... plz do it... i hate to have a veyron slowest than a kon CCR o saleen s7... plz basbas, do that for this special car...

Solution for using Veyron instead of Koenigsegg CCR :

- Replace Koen_CCR.BNK and Koen_CCR_I.BNK files with renamed files from Veyron archive (make backups first !)

 

- Make a backup of Bnk1.map in Euro/Bnk folder

 

- Open TDU Modding Tools (don't forget to set TDU root directory in settings !)

 

- Switch to Advanced Mode and start "MAP Tool"

 

- a file list should appear (lines of Koen_CCR.BNK and Koen_CCR_I.BNK file names should be in red)

 

- Click on "Fix all" button.

 

- all done.

Yes, that fools the file protection stored in Bnk1.map file.

 

It's not possible to do it for every file... but you're lucky as CCR files are fully recognized !

 

I guess I'll have to write a tutorial about that...

I wanted to have the veyron instead of the saleen s7

because

- of the engine power (on stage 3 its similar to the veyron)

- its a non-megapack-car

 

is this possible??

 

The sad thing is the difference in file sizes between the Veyron & Saleen S7 is only about 20kb's :( Maybe basbas could reoptimise the veyron & reduce the filesize for the main .bnk file by about 20 to 30kb's?

30kb is 30.000byte, thats a lot of optimizing, i optimized it all optimal the car is not finish yet. the mirrors most get on it :) .. i can,t reduce it more..

Don't worry, I've just found how to replace the S7 by the Veyron :)

PLEASE MAKE BACKUPS OF EVERY FILE YOU INTEND TO REPLACE, SO AS BNK1.MAP (Euro\Bnk) !!!

 

- Don't start TDU Modding Tools yet

 

- In TDU Modding Tools "xml" folder, replace map-key.xml by the one attached to this post (unzip it first).

 

- Then process like in post #182, but using these filenames : Sal_S7TT.bnk and Sal_S7TT_I.bnk (instead of Koen... ones)

You can test it (if you rename the files to the saleen). But shadow gt has tested a lot off cars, and the only car that it worked with is the Maserati Gransport

 

 

From our German TDU Central News:

Über das Problem mit der Dateigröße, welche immer gleich bleiben musste, braucht man sich nichtmehr zu kümmern. Das Limit kann man bequem mit dem TDU Modding Tool ändern, sodass es zu keinen Komplikationen kommt.

Translation:

The problem with filesize is not more there. The limit can be changed easily with the TDU Modding Tool, so that there are no more problems.

 

(possible that there are mistakes, sorry for that^^)

i did this and now the S7 looked like the Bugatti.

I copied the backupped Edonis files back to "Vehicules", so that this car is normal again.

But i think that there is a mistake

The S7 got slower, i cant drive 400 with this car?!

without wind shadow it only drives ~380?!

I did the whole process again, same problem, it cant drive 400 ...

Car physics can't be affected by file swappings. Please try to restore backup of every file you've modified so far, including Bnk1.map backup, then try to replace the S7 by the Veyron ("Edonis") files again.
