I got AVG full version (the pay for one) only £30 from play.com for 2years and 3 comps and its a millions times better than Norton.

I use a greeat little bit of software to stop 99% of viruses...

 

It's called OSX ;)

 

On a serious note, for the free option, try Spybot search and destroy, a really good programme!

Trend Micro 2009 Pro

Works much better then old versions and uses about 70% less resources then what it used to. I had used a combination of avast and AVG free before but it wasnt working particularly well.

Thats the most retarded statement I've heard in a long time. How on earth can my computer be slower if it doesn't have a program on it???

 

And you are obviously ignoring the fact that my computer isn't slow at all, as I actually do have plenty of common sense. I have had one 'virus' in the past 2 years, and that took about 2 seconds to stop and remove - and even if I'd have left it, it wouldn't have done any damage anyway.

 

So smooth comeback there.
