Knyazev : TDU2 Universal Launcher [v3.6]

Servers up now for last week or so.

 

I've noticed that if I alt-tab out of the online game and try to use a browser to get to a site it just does not work. I have to quit the game to restore connectivity. Is this normal? I am using the universal launcher 3.6 with the unofficial patch and Serenity, and I have modified a few cars using the car editor to adjust grip. I have not done anything manual to set up open ports or anything.

 

 

i am wondering if this relates to the problem I have in not being able to connect when I get invited to session play (follow the leader, etc). Do these requests require a different port to be open that in my case is not accessible?

Hello, and sorry to bump up this thread again, but I have some issue with Universal Launcher, seems to be a old issue to be honest, looks like the bug "Cannot create a file when that file already exists." was back again in my app.

 

It's the lastest version (3.6) and it's running fine before today, the bug came from nowhere, I even reinstall .NET Framework 3.5 on Windows 10. Here is the error dump:

The batch file is not working and running in administrator causes to not locate the Universal Launcher.

I don't know anything about your problem, especially about Windows 10 (I'm using WIn7), but there are some threads about Windows 10 problems here (TDU1 and/or TDU2, cannot remember actually).

Perhaps you could find a solution there.

The weird thing is the Universal Launcher was working well on W10 before the error, even on developer's website says compatibility for the system.

But anyways, I will look for threads about TDU problems on W10.

Okay so it appears that the Universal Launcher does have a few issues now. As of recently the game doesn't close correctly after I enter and exit it 6 times. And I also did recording with OBS while playing the game and before exiting it. On the 6th exit my GPU freaks out and goes between idle clock and base clock when I open any program on my computer (including windows explorer). So I believe it has something to do with the Universal Launcher not having any update over the past year.

 

I don't have this issue with any other game, even The Crew doesn't do this and it's the most resource taxing game that I play. Anybody else having the issue I mention above? The only way for me to clear out the issue is to restart my PC and that sometimes means doing that once or twice a day, which is very inconvenient...

 

System specs:

- Gigabyte GTX 1060 3GB

- Intel i5 3570K (stable 3.8GHz OC)

- 8GB of DDR3 ram

Hello.

 

Go to folder: C:\Users\*YOUR_USERNAME*\AppData\Local\i-Knyazev.ru\TDU2

 

and delete the folder "Universal Launcher" and then start the Universal Launcher.

You cannot update the game via the TDU2 Universal Launcher tool, only with the original game launcher.
Atari closed the official game servers lately for ever, I don't know, if also the update servers, but I guess yes.

If you didn't update before, you seem to be unlucky.
