The Veyron is an extremely fast GT, so its a SuperGT, a GT doesn't have to be 2+2, the Ferrari 599 and Aston Martin DBS are 2 seater GT cars

 

Edit: There are probably only 3 supercars from the far east, the Nissan R390, Honda NSX and Joss Supercar(Australia)

Like Hybrid said, the NSX is a supercar. And best supercar ever? McLaren F1. End of. What other car can reach almost 240bhp with 627bhp still being naturally aspirated??

Shy the R390 iirc started as a racecar so it is not a supercar.

 

Can't see how the Veyron is a GT when all GT's have boot space and the Veyron doesn't have alot. Also 99%+ GT's are front engined.

Well there are plenty of arguments, for the F40, but i'd rather disagree...in my opinion, every era of car manufacturing had it's supercars, the best of the best...

So here's how i would put it up:

 

50's : MB Gullwing

60's: Miura & Ferrari 250GTO

70's: Ferrari 512BB

80's: Countach, Porsche 959, F40

90's: Diablo, F1

00's: Carrera GT, Enzo, Edonis, Ford GT...

 

So, all in all, you can't really name one supercar, but you can point out out 1 or 2 of every decade...:)

Beeing odd for my age, my list for Best supercar ever is really anything from the mid 90's backwords! F1, XJ220, Ferrari GTO's, Countach, etc

 

Also don't forget the cars that are often classed as beeing the First Supercars: 300SL and the Miura. The 300SL was the first super car, and Same for the miura, which was the first Mid-engined car you could buy for the road! Ok there stats aren't impressive now, but at the time, you'l could't tuch them!

 

Of todays crop(2000+) my list includes the Enzo/MC12, SLS, 599 GTB and the zonda. And in my mind, a Jaguar XKR thats been modded to have 220MPH! :P

For me an Hypercar is:
