    Got a notification from the TDU2 Steam page, and it shows this link.

     

    As far as I know, no one here knows anything yet about this. The following list was a list of text found in a decrypted game file.

    Again, no one knows anything, and it most likely won't ever touch the game. Maybe it was probably an old file created before the developers decided to use Ibiza.

    Dubai would be rather boring imo. A Few long straights and then desert. Not much to do.

     

    Yeah that's what I thought since the file only mentioned Oahu and Dubai. No Ibiza? So it might be outdated.

        Yep Dubai would get pretty boring fast even if they used the rest of the UAE.

        Apart from unfinished buildings, cranes, sand and labour camps there is much to give varied scenery.

        Even the Sheikh's road in the Empty Quarter wouldn't enhance it that much.

          Everyone here clearly missed the most obvious point. I don't blame you though, I am on a higher plain of existence right now. ;)

           

          Anyway, erm, yeah, the point, it is, Dubai is nothing more than a playground for all the rich Pak...Arabs to do what they want. TDU2 is a playground for the rich and famous, if you get famous from the Solar Crown series, it certainly gets you rich though. So there you go, why not use a real life playground as an ingame playground.

           

          I'd rather they stick to islands though, cos I can understand not being able to drive off the map, cos of the ocean, but if they had invisible walls (wait, they have them in certain places already, HATE the one on the Ibiza circuit that is in the last little chicane, I have hit that without even going NEAR it. The invisible barrier is like on the inside of the corner, off the tarmac, but be careful cos I'm sure it has a mind of its own and it moves into you....)(Sorry....) anyway, invisible walls would suck. And cos Eden already suck anyway, the invisible walls wouldn't even keep people within the playing grounds anyway, I honestly don't know why I even bother. Gotta love blazing.

            I always had the idea TDU2 would get DLC locations. I can't be the only one automatically pressing left or right when getting the small ''Buy a ticket'' window at the airport. If there's only one location, why making it such a big feature in the process?

              Anyone else have the fear that it may have gone down a bit differently, more akin to how Mafia II pulled it off?

               

              Incase noone knows, Mafia II was going to be a huge game, but then they cut literally over half the game away and just went with that. For all we know TDU2 could have been stripped down a bit to speed up development or whatever else they may benefit from less work. ;p
