Ah ha, someone else has seen it too. It's been linked on the right of Gamersyde for some time. I'd actually forgot to check it recently. I hope it is the real deal, I could have Carmageddon and a new SSX in one year. Happy happy!

Apart from the very controversial content it was a pretty decent game. Even physics wise. I can safely say that the first Carmageddon had one of the most sophisticated physics and damage models in its time, what's more the maps you raced on were open and allowed freedom of exploration (within the bounds of the map of course). There were secrets, power-ups and lots of fun to be had. Good times.

Hmm, what the hell?

 

Went there today and the timer is still there, but a bit broken.

 

EDIT: It's working again, and counting for mid-day...
