Yeah. They had about 180-185rwhp when new, keeping in mind the newest one you can get now will be almost 12 years old, plus mine has near enough to 100,000kms, so it's about what I was expecting. A lot of the earlier NA MKIVs dyno a lot less, like around 150-160rwhp.

 

Sick car dude, definately need to get a Supra one day too!!

As for an update on my car, well, I washed it today. Bought more service parts, other little bits and bobs, a couple of which I've posted pics of here. All waiting to go on at once when the major service is being done. Still waiting for a few things to come together before I book it in for that.

Just gonna copy some couple posts with pics from my thread on the Supra forums (which I haven't updated for almost 6 months anyway), will post most recent stuff down below. (copying from the Supra forums didn't all work, replaced pics with '~', may try to edit them in later on)

Meanwhile, I love the smell of a freshly detailed car. After doing the exterior last weekend, I went and cleaned up the engine bay up today, still not quite finished though.

Today I spent half an hour cleaning 12 years of crap out from underneath my cowl panel. Nobody may ever see down there, but at least in the back of my mind I know it's spotless now.

Had a photoshoot done, interior and engine bay are a bit dirty, gave it a quick wash and clean before the shoot but didn't have time to do those areas.

 

 

 

 

 

I then drove up to Sydney for the World Time Attack Challenge, was a great few days, met a couple people off here (_pr0phecy and BioHazard). Managed to get into the invite only show and shine right in the middle of the track, just behind the pit area where all the teams were set up!

Aaaand that pretty much brings us to now, well, a couple weeks ago.

 

Got four new tyres, semi slick Nitto NT05s, 255/40 on the front and 275/40 again on the rear, also had a custom alignment done to my specs. Car handles so much better now than it did before...

 

Waved the old tyres off in style...

 

 

This is what I got up to on the first day of 2015. Went for a long cruise with a couple mates and ended up at the top of a place called Lake Mountain, during winter this is a pretty popular snow field.

 

 

 

 

While I was off work for a couple weeks over Christmas I purchased a new machine polisher, some Menzerna polishes, pads and some Gyeon Prime quartz coating. Hopefully put it all to use shortly when we get a good weekend weather wise.

 

 

Also, this happened. I 'accidentally' bought a turbo. :D

 

 

It's a Precision 6766, 67mm, ported 'H' compressor cover (4" in/3" out), 1.00 A/R divided T4 v-band dump turbine housing. Rated to 935hp/700kws. With those compressor and turbine housings it should be good for very big power right through to redline. Will have an awesome torque curve.

 

Hopefully grab the rest of, or most of, the parts I still need on American end of financial year and Black Friday sales, then look into going turbo some time next year.

 

I'm doing the Modball Rally later this year in October, so that should be some fun :D

 

Other than that I've just been collecting more bits and pieces here and there to go on. Got a new AEM standalone ecu, some extractors, lightweight pulleys, lightweight flywheel, clutch etc. the past few weeks, will be good to see how much power I can get out of it while still NA.

 

Edit: Oh and I also have a few track, drag, and hillclimb events coming up over the next few months, will record them and chuck the videos up as they happen.

Noob question: How do you actually make a burnout? I mean, i know how to do in videogames, but not sure about the real process of the thing. :lol: I only know how to do a FWD burnout, which sure is different than a RWD, since you can't use handbrake.

Plan for the new Supra is to be a World Time Attack Challenge race car, building it to open class rules. Not sure on the engine yet, but a turbo LS1 is a possibility.

 

Lots has happened to the grey car, lots is happening to the grey car. Next on the cards are a full standalone ECU, E85/flex fuel compatible fuel system (fuel pump, lines, injectors), a nitrous kit and some new cams and valvesprings, which I'm still waiting for to arrive. No, turbo is not on yet, it still makes all of 0psi.

That was good fun to read, few run ins with the local Police not withstanding but everything else and the group photos is so good to see. Been a good year then by the look of it and starting 2016 with the aim to make it even better. Keep the updates and pics coming!

Yeah lots of trouble with the police in Queensland while on the Modball, cost me lots of time and money :hd: Also can't drive my car back to Queensland until 2020 because of said trouble lol

 

Will hopefully have a lot to update over the next 2-3 months :D
