TDU2: Unofficial Patch

GOOD NEWS!!!

Guys, for those who are ranting around about the car driving constantly out from the road thanks to the slow braking and understeers from the lack of grip, I have a solution! Follow these steps!

1. Unpack your game for the second time with different folder name

2. Look for tires.bnk, there are two files. One in Euro/bnk/vehicules/tires and one in Euro/bnk.physics

3. Copy-paste them to the troubleful TDU2UP folder according to where they should be. This SHALL fix the grip problem.

4. Look for physics.cpr, should be in the same directory where Uplauncher is. Copy-paste it into the TDU2UP folder where its Uplauncher is.

5. Go drive around. Ferrari F12berlinetta might spin around but Camaro ZL1 will start smooth while oversteers a bit. Different feels will happen within cars. But older cars will feel as how they were.

You will love Skyline R34 a lot more, but you might hate Audi R8 4.2 this way. Some cars will feel good, some feel bad. But Lamborghini Countach and Shelby GT500KR will not have the auto-transmission problem. Many newer cars from this TDU2UP will suffer the current problem: launches fast but lacks grip and slides when turning.

If suggestion is welcome here, I'd love to see a Ferrari capable of driving offroad with its 4WD drivetrain. I mean, Ferrari FF. A2 class.

Don't do this! Patch does not modify physics.cpr at all. tire.bnk file is untouched for old cars. New Tire.bnk file just adds tire physic for patch cars. If you revert to orginal almost all new cars will loose grip. It does not affect old cars!

I just tested my Desmosedici and unfortunately i still got the same problem with spinning wheels in 1st gear.
Thx. I made a spelling error in the release version. Beta files were ok, lol. Fix for all reported issues is being prepared. It shouldn't take long.

OMG all right I should just wait. I hope all cars can have the best grip and brake strength.

A big complaint of the community has always been the locking brakes.

Brakes in the TDU2UP do not lock up, like in the default game, so you can control the car under braking. Brake strength has decreased a little, but you can still brake in time, if you adapt your driving to it.

Yes, but still, if the car goes too fast, and also lacks tire grip, it will result into oversteer and understeer very easily.

Regarding F12berlinetta;

I'm using Wheel controller with paddle shift. Since shift-up is too sensitive, I'm having problems a little.

Phenomena that shift up to 5th gear from 3rd skip the 4th position will occur frequently. And, there is no problem in other vehicles. If possible, I'd like to ask the little adjustment.

Please disregard this if other users do not have the same problem.

I don't think the physics are bad. If you are used to Forza physics this isn't your game. But i'm not getting all the oversteer/understeer/brake problems i read about. On some cars the brakes are slowish but that's in real life to.

Some tips: - Brake before the corner, slowly decrease the brake force and turn into the corner.

- Don't go full throttle out of a corner. Try feeling for grip and when you find it, you can go full throttle.

I have been playing this game like ages and I know how to "drive" cars. When we are in the race, we want to use the full capabilities of all available cars we have. WHATS THE POINT OF DRIVING WITH JUST 30% OF THE CARS SPEED AND ACCELERATION? Cruising is okay but racing, OMG.

F12berlinetta need at least 5 - 6 sec to brake

Nissan drift oversteer then understeer although the real car isn't

Bugatti brake in san Francisco stop at new york

Camaro wobbly2

Saleen S5S raptor undriveable

The physics is important in this game. Really2 need a fix.

You must be confused with The Crew demo. Has some TDU DNA but is unrelated further.

If you watch a few Youtube vids, you will see the Veyron needs twice the distance to brake from 300-0 as an Agera....

IMO TDU2UP team has taken the right course with the Physics. All new rides are fun to drive and much better than most default cars. Maybe some of the Vanilla game rides need some attention. But overall things have improved.

With respect to your opinion, my guess is correct about the game become more realistic about the handing of the cars.

Im just expressing my concerned about the latest patch. My point is this, this is an arcade game right? Why don't we let people who are new to this game (as I encourage my friends and colleagues to buy this game) play the game without being too serious, let them have fun.

If you feel the need to make the game with authentic handling, then make a realistic mode(suggestion) that is downloadable and as an addon pack.

I've tried some addons gameplay section and they are good. I would prefer this handling to be as optional extra because it will become pointless for the game menu to have option to turn off traction control when the default handling as hard as this for new player who wants to venture into this game.

sport mode?+ WTF is that on as stock?

Stock is FA i think. All Driving School Tests are taken in Sport Mode.

In FA and with a couple more tries i would be a few seconds faster for sure. But that was not the goal of this video. It is just to show that you can manage the F12 if you adapt your driving to it.

Al cars have a little learning curve. Not too hard.

The CRC Challenge is called CKs Club to Casino, for those who want to give it a shot ;)

I did a little test with the F12 on one of my favorite slopes.

This testrun is uploaded to the CRC, so everybody can have a go at that time (Private and Public).

Uploaded after 3 attempts.

Driven in Sport Mode and with Sequential Gears.

Controls: Fanatec CSW and CSP

Have Fun:nuts:

PS: Turn up the volume !

Awesome and sick driving

Now I know why you have this nickname :)

Got a message from Xarlith, I need to test the new tires.bnk.

I decided to copy-paste to both folders.

Test car would be... Audi R8 5.2 Coupe :D

EDIT

tested it with many cars. Ferrari F12, Audi R8 4.2 and 5.2 Coupe, Bugatti Veyron, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Shelby GT500 KR.

The new tires have less grip than original, correct? Still, acceptable. And the brake strength is now good. Like the original one. I got back on the wheels
