As well as louder and higher revving engines, the FIA aim to make cars 5 to 6 seconds faster per lap. Which still isn't as fast as they were 10 years ago but at least they're looking along the right lines now.

 

Teams will also have the freedom to choose which of the 4 tyre compounds they want to run at any race weekend. Coupled with the refuleing, hopefully we will see drivers on the limit far more often.
