  1. Hello, There are loads of mod cars that I would really like in the game to drive, but I cannot find many in the forums. So I was wondering, HOW do you create your own mods and then use them to drive in the game? e.g. what software, how do i actually make the cars, how do I use the files? Thanks, Micah
  2. Hello, I have never modded TDU2 before, but have seen some mods that I would love to put on the game. Can someone please give me an in detail step-by-step guide on how to mod, and how not to mess up my game? Also, if possible, can someone teach me HOW to create mods and play them? There are many cars which I would like to play but are not on the modding forums. I know these are big asks, but if anyone could help me out that would be much appreciated :D Thanks, Micah
  3. Hello! I have problems installing various car patches for TDU. I start the install exe and it stops in the middle saying it has found a critical error. Note that I have already installed NetFramework 2 sp2 and the magic map of DJey. Eg when I try to install Ferrari 458 Italia I get this in the patch log: "Exception spotted: Could not find file 'D:\Program Files\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Vehicules\F612.bnk'." then "Instruction #4 ended with error." followed by: "Patch halted because of an error." and: "No collected messages. * * *" Eg2 when I try to install Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa v1.2 I get: "Exception spotted: Length cannot be less than zero.Parameter name: length" then "Instruction #13 ended with error." and then "Patch halted because of an error." and "No collected messages. * * *" Can anyone help me either by pointing out what I 've done wrong/ot at all or by offering other solutions? Thank you and see you around!
  4. Hey, I play tdu2 now for a while and I was thinking to get a few mods. I know that I have to unpack the game (I know how to do it) but i don't know how to install the car sound mods with the steam version of tdu2? Maybe one of you guys know that. Thanks.
  5. Hello, I see a lot of great mods for TDU, and I wondered wther if its possible to use those mods in TDU2, becaus I lost my TDU1 DVD :-( I am especially interested in the e28 M5 for TDU.
  6. I have got my sound examples i am using, but i am having trouble converting the .wav files to 4-bit, they are all 16-bit or 32-bit at 44khz. Can anyone tell me a good program to use to convert them to MICROSOFT ADPCM and 4-bit? Also, what are the offlow, onlow, offhigh, onhigh mean? :S When i listen to some they sound really annoying? Hoping to get some awesome Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW and Aston Martin sounds made soon (Y) Thanks Donga
  7. I've noticed that almost half of the vehicle mods here do not have download links. Most of them just link you to another forum, but with no way to download them. Is it because these are private/exclusive mods or something? I see no point in modding something if you're not going to let the public use them.
  8. Hi everyone, can someone please tell me what do i have to do in order to have the car mods in my game?
  9. Hello everyone, I've recently returned to the TDU:c forums and I've noticed that a few brake and camera mods have been released. But I've started this thread primarily to ask if, are there any mods that somewhat 'restore' the handling and physics to that of TDU 1 (or better), and how. I was a huge fan of TDU 1, I spent countless hours cruising around in my modded cars and was very pleased when they announced the sequel. However, I heard so much criticism about TDU 2's handling and physics system when it released that I refrained from buying it, as all the cool new features would make no difference if the driving was not enjoyable, and I'm sure I was not alone in thinking this. I thought this thread may also serve as a way of publicising and reviewing existing physics mods that have been released and comparing their effects to TDU 1 (which in my mind had a near perfect handling and physics system for cruising) in order to inform others of the progress that is being made in solving the issues. Cheers P.S: Having not been on the forum's in a while I'm somewhat out of the loop, so if I've missed the release of a huge official handling-fixing patch then I'm sorry and feel free to give me abuse :P haha!
  10. Hey , theres tons of pages inside the released car mods ... wich some of them have really good mods but the majority becomed forgotten becuase usually people only search till the 3rd page why not to create a car brand section and split the mods inside each car brand properly like ferrari f40 inside ferrari brand porsche 911 inside porshe brand Etc. just a sugestion for a better organazation of the forum
  11. please i need help from you,i need to know how i install the cars mods in steam version,i want to put some cars,my favorited cars and i cant, because in bnk folder i have only one folder and that is "videoclips" and that it,pls help me ---------- Post added at 16:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 16:15 PM ---------- i want to know how i install in steam version
  12. The sounds of all the vehicle's dlc2 does not work the same way as before (there were different sample idle offhigh onmiddle ....) while the new sounds are just 2 or 3 mixed sounds. This is why it is hard if not impossible to make a good sound mod with the vehicle (motorcycles by emple) if someone at a solution? thanks

  17. This is probably a stupid question but is it possible and is anyone in the process of making any non-car/enviroment/gameplay mods like clothes and stuff like that. Just wondering as I think it would be a really good way to further personalise the game. :)

  21. For all newcomers that are unable to find answers via searching, please ask your questions regarding the acquisition and installation of TDU2 PC mods in this thread after reading through this thread to make sure your query hasn't already been answered. Link to Unpacker GUI: Xarlith : TDU2 Unpacker GUI [v1.1] - Japan Language Support | turboduck forum Now how to insert a mod: After unpacking the game correctly you will find some more subfolders in the "Euro"-folder (e. g. avatar, database, frontend...and so on...). In these folders you will find files that in most cases can be modded. The most important folder "vehicules". Here you find all ingame-cars. C:\...\tdu2\Euro\bnk\vehicules\ here are 4 folders that are important - high (carbody) - interiors ("inside-life" of the cars) - med (make you see the same car (as yours modded one) on other player/s when drives it in game) - rims (selfexplaining, rims sorted by brands) additionally in some cases: C:\...\TDU2\Euro\Bnk\sound\vehicles\gtr_high.bnk (carsound, but not every package has a separate mod for the carsound) Example on a certain car (e. g. Nissan GT-R) Files of the car: - gtr.bnk (in the high-folder) - gtr_i.bnk (in the interior-folder) - gtr_med.bnk (in the med-folder) - gtr_low.bnk (in the med-folder) - gtr_f_01 (frontrims in the rim/nissan-folder) - gtr_r_01 (rearrims in the rim/nissan-folder) The files in the modpackage have the same names, cause it's needed for working. Only the content of the bnk-files is different (in other words modded). And the modded files have to be copied into the needed folders, that means they replace the originial files. Little advice from my side: make a savecopy of the hole "Euro"-folder, so if something gets messed up meanwhile modding, you still have all original files. Important is, that only the car can be replaced, which files are in the modding-package. It is possible to switch (e. g.) a nissan gt-r with a bugatti. But the car looks like crap afterwards. That's all folks ;) All previous threads asking about this have been merged and are below... please read through it - someone may have already asked your question.
  22. Hello, I thought I'd have a look what car replacement mods had been released for TDU2, found a few I liked and downloaded them. I figured out that in order to install, I'd have to unpack my game. I found a little archive to download for that, followed the unpack command, let it do its thing; and that bit seems to have gone smoothly. Next step, which seemed fairly straightforward, and was the same for all the car mods I had downloaded, was to backup the original .bnk files and replace them with the new ones from each mod, in the various subdirectories of the vehicles folder, such as 'high', 'interiors', 'med' and 'rim'. So, I took the original files I intended on replacing and put them in a backup folder, somewhere completely different, on a different hard drive of my computer even, and then put the files that came with the mods into the game's bnk folders instead. And I did this for each mod, in each directory as it should be. However, when I start the game (through the 1.5 universal launcher, if that's of any relevance), the game works fine, no crashes or anything, but the mods haven't taken effect, and what I find really weird considering that the original car files aren't even on the same hard drive any more, is that the original cars show up, instead of the mod ones. One thing I am wondering; each mod came with files for 'high' and 'med' res, but the original game has files for 'low' res as well, under the 'med' directory. I tried changing the graphics settings a few times in case that had anything to do with it; but the original cars were still there. Also, one of the mods did have a replavement file for the 'low' res version (as well as med and high res) so it's very odd that that one didn't work. Obviously, I must be missing something. Is there some sort of magicmap equivalent for TDU2, or have I missed out some important step here ? I've double checked and yes, none of the original files (for the cars intended to be replaced) are still in the game directory, and the directories do contain all the files for the mod cars. If anyone could enlighten me, I'd sure appreciate it; these mods seem to be working for everybody else, so the problem must be somewhere on my end. - Dan EDIT: sorted it out. Apparently it had something to do with certain files not being in a backup folder.
  23. hi, ich hab ne frage wie bringe ich mods ins tdu 2 rein  danke
  24. I would love to see someone fixing the handling, playing TDU1 now, first played it over 2 years ago and still enjoying it but I hate to think of the fact that I can't enjoy TDU2 because the handling sucks:sulk: So I am curious if there is any interest in creating a handling mod, don't get me wrong, not a handling mod that is made especially to get a advantage over other players but a handling mod finally making TDU2 worth playing. I myself know nothing about coding so I can't really be of help with this but are there any modders or other people interested in seeing such a mod? Hope I won't get some people angry for asking a mod that messes with the core game mechanics
