Alfa get limited by Ferrari, as Jezza once mentioned. The 8C could have been a lot better in technical part but it would be better than a F430 and that in Italy as Jezza said is "like vomiting on the Pope". ;) Ferrari have more legendary cars, they have better engines, they are more of a petrolhead cars, more of a supercars. Alfa only has the 8C and the Brera, which is well, a bit out-dated (the Brera). They are nice cars but still no match for the Standing Horses. There will be some that prefer Alfa but I think that will be a minority. :) I vote Forza Ferrari.

On principle, I'd vote for Alfas, since I don't like Ferraris, particularly the current ones. Having said that though, there aren't really any Alfas in particular that I really really adore (except the 8C, but i don't think I want to own one), compared to a couple of the older Fezzas.

Basically, if I stayed an average Joe, I'd choose a 159 Wagon or perhaps a GTV6. If I were rich though, I'd definitely strive for a Dino 246, Daytona Spider, 308 or 355 GTS.

I vote for Alfa.

Everyone know's what a Ferrari is and everyone's got one. Not enough people really realize how special Alfas really are. I feel that there is more passion in Alfas, and they all look like sex. They may not be the most reliable things but they get the job done. And have any of you heard the sound the 8C makes? Wow...

Ferrari.

The only reason people now compare them is because of the 8C, and aside from that I really don't think there are many great Alfas, aside from the 8C, the 6C Sprint, the 75 GTA and the Guilietta, I don't think that small list constitutes Alfa Romeo as a viable candidate to compare Ferrari against.

i'm going with alfa because they dont compare in any way, the way i compare the companies is alfa being the suave italian who welcomes you in, slowly pushes you into having a good time at your own pace, wheras ferrari is an italian ADHD footballer ponse, who specialises in cheap trills for people with petit pois between their legs

i really resent the clinical nature, which when added to my distaste for a car that constantly ircs you to go faster and sounds like a bumblebee in a megaphone is not a good combo. for day to day use the alfa would be perfect. not to mention that they look nicer

Ferrari, because the only real comparable Alfa is the 8C. In other words, +1 to DriftNismo.

Besides, the F40 is awesome and always has been.

Alfa Romeo and Ferrari have, from what I have heard (I haven't actually come close enough to modern ARs or Ferraris to tell!), more-or-less equivalent build quality. Sure, a Ferrari isn't as daily-drivable, but heck, you don't buy a Ferrari as your daily-driver. ;)

Besides, aren't a large percentage of AR's cars either FWD or AWD and V6-powered these days? Sounds like an army of Maxima clones (V6 means nothing to high-grade performance if you're running FWD!). The only Alfa I'd consider comparable to Ferrari or even to Maserati is the 8C; the Brera is close.
