As many of you probably know, an 8.8 - 8.9 earthquake just hit Japan, with the origin just northeast of Tokyo. Following this, a large tsunami struck the shore, destroying buildings and cars and such (as tsunamis are want to do). Now, I know we don't have that many Japanese members relative to other areas, but we should still wish them good luck.

We hope you guys and girls pull through this! :(

Also, good luck to our members located in the Pacific and in Hawaii; the tsunami is taller than some islands in that ocean, and the wave is supposed to strike Hawaii at 3:00 am there (8:00 am EST, 1:00 pm GMT).

This is really messed up as alot of UK Folk went to bed all was fine and woke up to this tragedy. My thoughts are with everyone who has been caught up in this. Just cant stop watching the news in shock.

Hopefully no-one here affected by it too much. I wonder which country is next in line for a massive natural disaster (I'm guessing it won't take too long to find out at this rate).

Also, be careful if searching the net on this subject, as it could lead to malware.

Yeah it tears me apart to hear everyday of more potential disasters on top of what has already happened to Japan. The nuclear situation isn't pretty and there's talk of more possible large-scale earthquakes.

I think we should have a community donation..

Man, that is so sad. I hope everyone's doing great, members of our forum or not!

Edit: I've been on tototo's profile and his last visit was a day before the quake and tsunami. I'll check our other Japanese members.
