How is night racing? Is it one of those where they added a blue tint, or is it real, all-you-see-is-a-quarter-of-the-screen night lighting?

Actually in that particular race I may have just forgotten to map a control for my headlights :p

 

 

Night racing is very good, easy to get distracted by headlights in your mirrors as I expect would happen in real life.

Quite a brave/stupid passing maneuver - pulled it off though, heart still skipped a beat :D I assume this section of the track is still being worked on since there were flickering textures, delayed shadows, missing ground in replay mode, etc

The kart physics/tyre model has been mostly fixed now and is great to drive - it's also been changed to only have one gear now.

That's a shame, it's playing really well right now. Last night I started a 16 lap race @ Oschersleben in 20th place (35 in grid). 6 laps later I hadn't gained or lost any positions, the racing was that tight. Of course I'm not extremely confident with that track as you need to string the perfect racing line through a couple of those corners after the first two hairpins or you go off track or risk spinning out.

Thanks. Just scrolling up and noticed quite a few sets missing from this thread (must've been posted elsewhere). You can actually see the general quality increase (ignore car model quality as we get new cars added to builds long before the best LOD version is completed)

Most of the pics are just from replay mode - I've never properly figured out the free cam (the drifting Atom and pedal shots are free cam).
