No, even because our brand new vehicles are more dangerous than any 1990 Miata or an AE86. They got one star in crash tests, and got called death traps. :lol:

 

They block the import, as they say, to "protect the national market". They used the same excuse to raise the import taxes more than 30%, because Hyundai and Kia were just smashing our cars, same price, yet a lot better. So, 30% tax increase, their price got raised, they lost their advantage.

Any car is a death trap, you can have over 9000 airbags and 100 point seatbelts and a helmet and still get sent to hospital..or..well..die.

If you buy a car from an owner (not a dealer), you don't have to pay VAT and when you buy a car from a dealer abroad, you have to pay the VAT in the country you bought the car, but not in CZ. :D

This dude named Stingray (now Mr. Stingray) on NFSCars trolled an entire forum a few years back, saying he was building up a C3 Stingray, it went on for 2 months. Nobody cared afterwards because in the end he admitted to it, now he's a good friend of mine I talk to occasionally on GTRn. He now drives a Z28 Camaro (yes it's legit.).

I know man :) I've raced ST focuses with the turbo 5 pot engine and worried them myself lol, it's the weight if anything, plus how these honda's put the power down so well. Similar story with Mb's 106 I bet.

I don't know much about VTecs to be honest with you, I keep hearing that they only come into their power range at 5000rpm, is this true or false? If you can keep up with a 5cyl turbo Focus then it can't be true.

Yeah the 106 is pretty quick... It's not a problem to keep up with most "family" cars with 200bhp.

Well it's true in a way, with the infamous "vtec kick" the power cams cut in at 5600rpm on mine and the open the valves for longer, letting in...umm...more lol. But if I do a standing start/pull from above or near 5600 it's pretty rapid lol, the focus race was from a standing start, if I whack a lightened flywheel in it would be even better.

5600rpm? Sounds pretty late..:/ Would rather a boost kick at 2500 or something, nothing late.
