i really like that concept, that also means that eventually the maps could be modified, so in the future tdu2 can have world wide maps, many places, atmospheres, which is amazing. i really hope thats the case. it also means that tdu 2 will never get boring.

yes Great

Time a proposal or a thesis:

Atari TDU has achieved a great success and money taken. The PS3 is available as a further platform available and a new market is clear. Due to the success you can not afford new companies (BMW, Porsche, etc) and more cars and advertises these may be different from EA. Since the companies represent indeed want to be making it well because TDU is successful. Atari could change as the condition of the optical state of the vehicles (community request) and it also works with NFS so the company probably respond to them. Similarly, a series of tuners in the game programs to offer and so avoid the KFZs a degeneration of the optic as in NFSU. Thus they also have advertising. The community can contribute as a customer is probably a part of the new version and it may be gimmicks (refueling, washing (as in Gran Turismo), etc.) are observed. will you still want to be successful with the successor to innovations. So it fits the game world. TDU1 1600 Km was a hammer and that is one beat. Possibly. one has looked into this forum and has met our needs weather = Consequently, a tract of land is sought, which is varied and large. Depending on how much time you have the world is programmed. If you want to have it out in 2008, California would be considered a suitable candidate. It is 1200 km long and 400 km wide (411,912 km ²), we have snow, desert, forest and sometimes rainy (changing weather conditions). A good mix of city and countryside, race tracks, highways, country roads and mountain roads. It thus has a similar flair as Oahu. England would be a move to Europe, with more or less varied weather (130,395 km ²). Is smaller than California, but also an island and is greater than Oahu.

When you have more time and technology, we could turn to one continent. As early Cuba would be a good start. Very large (110,860 km ²), but less diverse. Snow you will search in vain, and rain is seasonal. Even large cities are rare, but the scenery is beautiful. But given the present situation (eg GTA, and Just Cause) would be such a great multiplication of the size is not surprising. Possibly. one could use a part of North America (USA (9,629,891 square km)) or Europe. These in turn are very diverse and very large. But the feeling of freedom is waning, if not more is on the edge (Oahu island as the issue does not). Because of the new landscapes new vehicles would not be wrong. 4x4 Test Drive of 1999 was a pure off-road game, so nothing new. In the online world it is determined also provide improvements that allow more visible player or larger worlds. Day and night is falling on each inside. Is indeed quite simple.

New clothing companies could join as donors and expand the lifestyle range, similar to GTA. And since TDU can be so used for advertising (posters or sponsor races) you can almost make the game pay.

Although the hypothesis is ventured about the proposal, but it could develop this or what do you think?

FUEL had a very large and diverse environment, and look how quickly that game was dropped by the community. No point having a mega large area if there's hardly anything to do on it. Especially since they didn't have a map screen like TDU where you could see where the online players were.

Maybe community would not have left Fuel if the editor would not have totally quitted. This game could have been one of greatest, but only game developers believed in it. And that's not enough.

Must I remember you from availaibility of a patch, which was forbidden to be released (bringing lots of stuff btw) ?

Sorry for offtopic... but I had to say that. I don't think the same thing will happen for TDU, every team is working on it, from NAMCO to EDEN.

but seriously i have to ask again, and this may sound a little pedantic but has anyone thought of the two island issue serioulsy, as good as it would be would you not have to own 2 sets of cars, one on each island if you wanted to flit between the two.

and also the more i think about going to a second island ive already visited the more i become unsure, origianlly i was very excited, but i think that just comes from wanting to drive everything as much as possible, in reality i want a new enviroment

I wouldn't mind if cars are shared between islands. Heck, I'd be happy if you could open a small menu and change your car mid-cruise while cruising online.

I don't see any downside to including O'ahu again. Options are supposed to be a good thing. What's the alternative? Just have the one island (Ibiza)? Have another island which is much smaller (since upgrading O'ahu is quicker than building a new island)? If O'ahu was so bad would we really still be playing TDU anymore (how quickly did the maps in the last few NFS games get boring?). Sure, the external community and mods help a lot, but I have never, ever played a game as much or for as long as TDU.

I do hope, though, that we are not required to 'discover' all of the roads in O'ahu again in order warp to them via the map. Maybe TDU2 can detect if TDU1 is installed, and import the savegame data from there to figure out what has already been discovered and go from there. Or they could unlock all of the old roads, and leave only the new ones locked. Or, since O'ahu is an unlockable achievement in itself, all of it's roads could be 'discovered' by default already.

I'd be happy for them to keep the old discovery system in Ibiza, of course (which I'm sure they've improved in a few ways).

O'ahu by the sound of it is unlocked, so whether you need to go back and do challenges and such on it is unknown but it would be good imo if it was, sharing your cars when you've reached that point would be nothing as you would be made of money no doubt and effectively transporting your collection over would not be an issue.

I can't wait to see O'ahu in TDU2 with the goodies of night, weather and smoother roads.

I personally can't wait to go drifting in some twisties during a massive thunderstorm with heavy rain. Dunno why. Just do. :)

I think Fizz is talking about PC users copying the .bnk files from TDU1 to TDU2, rather than Eden carrying over all the old cars, which I doubt they will. The only advantage to keeping them would be having more slots to replace with mods down the track. Otherwise, I have no need to keep a Zonda C12S when I can have a Zonda F or Cinque, for example.

i think drifting in the rain would be allot of fun, i loved the mountain roads in TDU anyway but add a bit of rain and thunder for effect and it will be a hell of allot of fun. i remember the difference adding good weather effects to PGR4 made so the difference its going to make to TDU2 is hopefully going to be unbelieveable.

plus i agree with the idea of checking your hard drive and auto unlocking all the oahu roads that you ahve already visited to save the hassle while keeping the unlock system for ibiza as it was actually quite good fun the first time around
