To be honest judging from the picture it looks like its in a bunch of tiles(on the dashboard only), maybe it needs a bit of smoothing or its beyond TDUs limitations but I wouldn't really know.

 

Real Gallardo looks like it has 'less' alcantara in its interior.

I think that what he meant was the mapping of the texture. For now you can clearly see that the texture is a sort of retangle, about the size of the GPS screen, being multiplied all over the dashboard.
