As much as fans love Lamborghini, they don't inspire anything like the following of Ferrari. When did Lambo last race in the highest echelon of motor racing? If Eden could only afford one of Ferrari or Lambo then the decision was always going to go one way. Imagine the outcry if it didn't have Ferrari (like many games don't).

Lol, I think Lamborghini is just as inspiring as Ferrari, it's that Ferrari's try to be a bit more beautiful while Lambo's are more agressive.

And what the heck does racing participation have to do with this? You explain me that please, I really fail to see what racing participation and successes have to do with eliminating a strong brand.

I know you are strongly trying to keep Atari positive in the community, but please use some valid arguments. LIke this, I can also say they should have EXCLUDED Ferrari because their cars tend to catch fire, especially the 458.

Galop1n has said that it's unlikely that lambo will be in a DLC either, as the revenue that they'll make from the DLC will be less than it will cost for a license.

He also confirmed that Lamborghini was indeed to expensive, and that their needs clashed with another marque (Hinting at ferrari I think).

Oh so we have to be grateful that Ferrari is still in? Is that what ur implying? The old TDU had both, better handling (for now), much better graphics comparing to its direct rivals, in a word, it was in the Premier League of games in it's time.

Now, it's successor seems to be barely at the bottom of the today's games list, based on many things. The cars list is only a last drop...

U know, my €50 worth pretty much the same as 4 years ago so I expect to get at least the product on similar level as before. They have earned big credits with the first game and many people who pre-ordered TDU2 have already given their money. U have to understand their disappointment with everything.

The style of the two are vastly diffrent, with Ferrari having flowing curves, while Lambo go with a more wegde shape, and most people would vote a Ferrari as 'Better Looking' lambo.

Racing Does play a big part in why people like them, would the McLaren MP4-12C have gotten such a big thumbs up when announced if McLaren wern't in F1? Ferrari have got a following because of this, chances are if you find a Ferrari F1 fan, they will like the manufacture! Lotus arn't happy with 'Lotus' in F1, and that is why Lotus have joint with Renualt! Diffrent story yes, and its weird at that bit i won't go into the matter, but it's shows how Lotus Cars don't like there name beeing used by a team who arn't the best.

On a diffrent matter, it looks like i have to speed up my typing, as the time it takes me to wright another page has opened up and its half full! lol

That's not right, I mean come on; an F430 Scuderia and the F430 Scuderia Spider 16M are 2 different cars. You can't label them 1 model just because they share the same sort of design. The Veyron's apart from the 16.4, Grand Sport and Super Sport are 3 definite different model types even if they do share similarities with each other.

Pick definite examples sure like the 599GTB and the China Edition but don't try and blur others that definitely are of their own.

It already gets blurred anyway though. I purposely used the most blurred set up to see how many cars there are down to the core. You can argue that the F430 Scuderia and 16M are different, but the R8 Coupe and Spyder really are the same car.

Similarily the V8/V12 Vantages, S5/RS5 should be considered two separate models at the same time because they only really share the same design. That's why I blended the Veyron as one because I meant to be consistent with what I did. Whether right or wrong, to me, and at this car lists lowest number, a Coupe and Spyder/Convertible are the same car. At it's lowest number you have 80 cars, if you expand it separating coupes/convertibles and high-performance variants then you're up to 95 or so.

Obviously there were some exceptions, like the SLR and Stirling Moss, those are vastly different regardless of having the same name. I see your point though, but I think it's one way that many may not agree (that or just me) but if anyone wants feel free to correct it.

That being said, I'm not surprised by Lamborghini. The thing is, asking for the same amount makes no sense when you have a quarter of the cars as Ferrari in licensing. I will be honest that it does severely disappoint me that Lamborghini is not in (I Really wanted the LP560-4), but we'll see how it turns out without them. Given there are still some cars I want to drive in the game, I'll see how it turns out.

Guess many of the licensing deals changed with the new game so the old cars got taken out or saved to fill the DLC.

If this realy is the complete car list, i can honestly say i will never buy this game, i whant a racing game, the fact that you can buy clothers and invite friends to your home is all a great ADITION! but if this is the biggest part of the game, and the cars are that few, than no thanks, im sorry but whatever the reason, the fact that lamborghini and maserati are not in, is a big blow for me...

Lexus wasn't on release last time either, and given that Toyota isn't in I wouldn't be surprised if Lexus held back again as well. Given games like Forza 3 and Gran Turismo being able to drop cash, I won't be surprised if many lisencing issues fell through based off funds.

That said:

Anyone else find it weird that Ferrari was cool with the fact that this game has more intense car chases but they had issue's with Hot Pursuit?

Of course, you're a fan, like myself. But we don't really represent the masses out there that don't follow forums, but instead watch things like formula 1 on tv etc.

And what the heck does racing participation have to do with this?
Everything - by participating and being successful in the top motorsports you cement your seriousness as a leading sports/racing car manufacturer. If you don't, it's like saying 'we build great cars, but we dare not race them against other people incase we lose.'

Oh so we have to be grateful that Ferrari is still in?
Not 'we', if we're lambo fans, but the wider public would almost certainly prefer Ferrari to Lamborghini, if there was a choice between the two. Ferrari have a HUGE fan base, far far larger than that for any other manufacturer.

While we might prefer a game made to appeal to fewer people, it means that you have a far smaller budget to make games, and ultimately it's lack of (enough) budget that's causing these issues.

The old TDU had both
Presumably the licensing situation was different back then.
better handling (for now)
There's no proof of that - we've not seen the real version.
much better graphics comparing to its direct rivals, in a word, it was in the Premier League of games in it's time.
Not sure on the graphics point - the environments were nice, but those blocky roads were terrible. It was also one of the buggiest car games on release.

One thing the console contingent needs to remember is that sounds of the cars will also play into what people use. For example the 360CS is one my favourite cars and has an amazing sound, I'm lucky if I have even 100 miles on it in TDU due to the crap engine note it has in the game. This is a factor for a few of the cars I drive in the game also as well as the speedo issue as I like to drive the game from the cockpit view and seeing that spinning messed up needle irks me something awful. So if the sounds are actually quite good and from October indications would say yes a number are and the rest are hopefully being worked on then that could also play in the favour of how you will view the carlist in the game.

Out of interest now that we have sort of had our vent and shout spells what cars out of the list regardless of what isn't their, will you be looking forward to driving in TDU2 especially if the sound of the car is decent enough. I can tell you that the California, F430 Scuderia (quite good), Veyron Grand Sport, GT-R, Golf GTi MkVI and Stirling Moss are pretty decent though from what I have personally experienced.

Mellors may be able to chime in about the Atom, SLS and some others, Sponge was on a number of the Audis also but anyway list out of the list what you actually are looking forward to from the what appears to be final carlist for the release and then list your top 5 afterwards.
