Alright cool thanks for the answers mate, so you never saw any working HUD's in the normal cars such as the Aventador? :(

Also lots have been asking about the car sounds, how were they to you?

If you're registered on the Ubisoft Forums you may want to take a look at some of the things people have been asking too.

I can't remember if I saw it working in the normal cars. :hmmm:

The engine sounds are not so amazing as the ones in Forza, but they are decent enough in my opinion.

I'll take a look. :)

Well they did say they are still working on the sounds so let's hope they don't forget about this aspect of the game, if anything the Forza games shows us how good sound can really improve a game.

Thanks man, I leave you be now and let others bother you. :cheeky:

Also got a question or two, Dan.

Do the engine and exhaust mods change the way the car sounds? I guess no. :/

How was the snow driving like in the mountains?

Are there any car washes where you could get rid of the mud?

As they said customizing is very important for them, can you play with the suspension settings - lowering and offsets mainly? #stancebro

Working windows?

Is it modding-friendly, did they even think about this aspect?

Yep, but there are only minor changes.

It was damn fun! Going trough corners on the mountain roads is really tricky if you don't watch out. I crashed several times because I didn't react fast enough.

Nope. It will be gone if you fast travel or if you enter your HQ.

Nope, you can only the replace parts.

Nope. :(

I've asked them, and they answered with "no".

Can't remember where I saw these questions, it was late last night and I was just looking at all places.

Q: Was the weight of the cars like Driver: San Francisco (some say they felt a bit light) or more akin to Forza/GT/Other?

Q: If you could class the different handling modes to the feel of a game, how would you class them? ie; Arcade = PGR

Cheers!

I'll ask all the questions shall I guys?

TDU1 wasn't exactly modding friendly (encrypted, file size checks, etc) but look what became of that..... I wouldn't be too worried.

I don't think they like modding very much. When i asked Studio Director Stéphane about it, he looked like i just said something vulgar, lol.:D

And TBH, what would you mod?

Car sounds will be done by Reflections, using real recordings.

If you go fiddle around with textures you will probably run into issues soon®

You can not swap cars easily as every car has a ton of upgrades and special parts in various setups.

Other "mods" will only "tweak" performance and can be seen as cheating.

I think they are right not to support modding. You can only mess things up and ruin gameplay for others. Don't think this game needs it either.

I do not agree with your statement, mate. There is always something to tweak and mod, to perfect something - if the person knows what to do obviously. I'm not going to argue with you about the car sounds - IMHO an Achilles heel of many driving games - as I have not played the game yet. TDU with mods done right was much more fun, for example. And there is a huge potential of having a big and alive community years after the game's release.

TDU was in a different league at its time too.

It's safe to asume that the crew will be outdated in years, to stand better against time modding is essential.
