So, next-gen release of GTA V is right around the corner, so Rockstar decided to give IGN a chance to record a demo and take a look at new features.

Grand Theft Auto V: a new perspective

Hands-On with GTAV PS4: Rail guns, FPS mode and more - CVG UK

Some bits:

- 30fps, consoles to 1080p, PC will support 4K

- more traffic, very detailed with working gauges including RPM, speed, coolanttemperature

- digital dashes can show what song plays on the radio, characters will bob their head to the music

- 20 new species of wildlife

- First person mode is a selectable filter for GTA: Online missions and races

- helmets and goggles will block parts of your view and can dampen the sound of everything you hear

- 150 new songs

- Toggle songs with ps4 touchpad if you want

- in game tv shows and movies are in HD now

- depth of field options

- Hours of new radio dialogue

- Every single vehicle/aircraft has 1st person.

- push down on dpad, character will duck behind steering wheel , 1st person

And there's more to come, judging Rockstar's message on their Newswire:

''For more details about First Person Mode, check out the first of IGN's 3 exclusive feature stories this week.''

I can't decide, shall I buy it or nah.

+:

.I got a XOne, and play only Forza on it. This thing got potential

.the graphics are insane

.new stuff!

.first person view om nom

-:

.I already got GTA5 on current gen

.The game became quite boring in the last months

.The last time I played it was like June

.Nobody of my friends got an XOne yet

.it costs 70 freaking euros. A game I already have

What to do? :sulk:

Again it's really tempting but I'll hold out and wait for it to go cheaper, my mindset is this first person and does everything this does? Far cry 4, shooting new cod or h a l o, 3rd person game? Assassins creed.

I can't justify spending £45 on a game I've already played when so much more is coming out.

Wish they had a trade in option.

With FPS, really does look like the game will feel like a new game.

Sure I know the story, sure i know what to expect. But how many games fit into this? Open world first person shooting & driving mixed together. Far Cry is the only one I can think of off hand.

Add in the atmosphere in the game and I reckon it'll draw you in more.

Also could make the game harder both on & offline. How? Won't be as easy to see whats around you.

Look's like the PS3 will get slightly less use in a few weeks time.

Dang this looks awesome, I really like the whole first person car thingy, I find it hard to drive with chasecam these days since on pretty much all driving games I use interior cam.

Not yet from what I can find with a quick google session, at least nothing confirming/denying. Just lots of topics ''concluding'' V should have it because FPS-mode...

I will hardly get an Xbox One "only" for FH2 and this (even though are games I'd so like to play), but hopefully the upcoming (?) PC-version will include some of this too!

PC (yes coming, january 27th) is gonna look at least as good, IF your pc is specced properly to run it with such detail/resolution, while a console is just ''buy the box, insert disc, tadaaa''.
