What's with the weird plate holders?

 

It looks like it wouldn't mount flat (or be legible) if it were mounted on the car. Also, damage to the front bumper and all might be an issue to owners. :hmmm:

I saw what I think was a Dodge Viper GTS yesterday. It had a huge rear wing on it but it was going over a bridge many meters over me so I only saw the silhouette. :hmmm:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was one of the older ones like that one. All I remember is that it was red with white stripes but I think that spoiler matches what I saw pretty well. :hmmm:

Over here we call those 'trade plates'. Car dealerships hang them on demo cars when they take customers on test drives, because the vehicle is still new (i.e. unregistered), so the plate links to the business rather than the individual car. That's why they keep a log of what car is driven when and by who (they photocopy your license here).

Nah I agree with Mike, SLR's do not sound that great. They sound nice, sure. The SLS on load sounds better imo.
