Disappointing. After the words ''the first trailer is not what we hoped to show and does not do the game justice'' I expected a lot more of everything.

I see offroad trails are still offroad-textured asphalt routes as they are flat and don't seem to let the car slide around. I'd expect even a 4WD to slide as it is quite a weight of that Q7 V12. And what's up with those sparks at the Q7's bouncing?! I can't remember I've ever seen sparks when cars landed on offroad trails. And shaking the camera to give the feeling of driving offroad does not work for me. The car needs to shake more because of the road, not dodgy camerawork like in the disastermovie 10.5 (disaster both as subject as rating).

I see vehicles have no proper behaviour yet. In addition to that, the blurred wheels are still completely flat which looks very fake. I also notice in many shots the tires are sunken in the road (not always but often), but I could live with it... I think... or... hm.

Not a lot of new vehicles shown either, and no confirmation yet on fuel or working wipers, but it doesn't matter that much.

This is all gamestuff, the trailer itself was nicely made, music fits good, lots of stuff has been shown, the humanmodels look good too. Combined everything, it gets a 5/10

I liked how quickly the second trailer came along, I liked some of the new video clips. That was about it. 5/10, too.

Seen to much of the same in the first trailer. The next needs new cars, car sounds, less to do with the character's social life and more clips showing off the island.

I personaly was pretty satisfied with the trailer. Tho it didn't really answer me on the most important questions: I want to see the Turn Signals in action, are we going fuel up our tanks and how is the car handling.

Other than that it looked pretty good. The graphics wasn't to much to be impressed over but I believe the game in the video is optimized for Xbox 360, pluss as someone said Gametrailers HD looks like crap. When that is taken in concideration, I gave it a 9/10

Should focus on improving the driving experience not the character customization

Very disappointed. 1/10

I play TDU for fun driving experience and don't care about customizing my character. Eden should focus on improving to add more cars or sharpen up the driving experience not the character part. If we want to play or experience avatar then we should play Sims not TDU.

Eventhough your right about the sparks,on back roads cars don't really shake as much as you seem to think, dirt road are usally just really noisy. The only thing that really bothers me is the lack of dust, and the road texturing is ff a bit.It would also be nice if there were more bumps and dips.

Go play Gran Turismo or Forza then.. gosh. I give it 8/10.

Then I might have said it wrong. I was aiming at seeing the wheels only rotate, but not shake up and down. Offroad should be very irregular which it seems it isn't. That's kinda what I meant and should have said :p
That seems to be a popular believe, but on back roads that usally doesn't happen, unless you hit washboard, bumbs or pot holes.Watch
for example, start at about 5:50,the q7 only shakes when it hits a bumb or a rock or something like that.

I'm sure they would have focused on the driving aspect first, then added the character socializing afterwards as an extra feature. But then I haven't played it yet, looks great to me.

7/10

It was good and all, but there wasn't really much more in it that I didn't already know about. i can see why as they don't want to give too much away about the game as the release is still upto 5 months away.

Wow!

Personally I find this one to be better than the first one!

Guys, go to the Youtube video the original poster posted and have a look from 0.32 - 0.38. Does that mean we can get out of the cars and like go to a house party or HOST a house party and actually socialise, with like chat boxs and so forth? Does this also mean we can "walk" out characters or only in selected areas, cus I would like to say drive down to the beach and then walk to the waters edge or drive to the top of a mountain, get out and look @ the view. But the question is, if u can walk will it be third person view or First person like when u drive the cars????

Seeing that part also, does that mean that our characters have to eat, drink and sleep? Or can we go driving all night or is there like a sleep bar, because I know it's too late now to change it but I would like it if you had to sleep, so your character could be out @ night til like 12am but then they went home and slept and they woke up/the game would resume the next day @ like 8.30 (the earlier you go to bed the earlier you wake up) Kinda like GTA IV how when u save it time progresses 6 hours isn't it?

Cosmentic surgery.... intersting, so these is a big gap of seeing your twin on TDU2 - Cus in TDU 1 I saw a few of my character (there was only the 6 to choose from)

In regards to the 4x4 tracks, I like the idea of light off road tracks as it good for people to learn I guess and not many people would be into hard core off roading but I think I'd like to find out/see more off REAL off roading, aka, rocking crawling, or crossing a river or climbing up a unlevel, rocky/slippery hill. If they're gonna have off road make it proper off road, what they've shown so far I can do in the original TDU. ALso I REALL y hope they have fixed that game "jumping". When u tried to climb an offroad hill in TDU the car would just come to a stop, level out so the back tires are in the air and make this crashing shound and like freefall back to the level grounds! So unrealistic, I hope they have fixed this with suspension flex and so forth on the 4x4's and Cars!

All I can say so far is well done Eden! Big changes from TDU 1 and TBH I think the graphics have improved alot over the original too!

They so should put this on international TV as a TV commercial! Would love to see this ad on TV!

Any answers to my questions is a big help thanks! ;)

I agree,it would be nice to see at least some hard core off road trails, also, hardcore mode was a good to defeat the unrealistic

"jumping".Another thing, suspenion flex was actually pretty well done in tdu 1,though they need to simulate the differenace between solid axles and independant suspension.

One thing I notice is that the trailers seem to be done via a debug/freeroam camera or maybe it's the improved replay system, but it's possible like in other games that these scripted events or otherwise don't have everything implemented yet and we are basically seeing a set piece rather than actual ingame handling and control.

Think of the rendered FM3 trailer using ingame assets, remember how stupid and cheesy the slides and such looked? Just a thought, actual ingame videos ie someone playing is the only way to really tell what the handling will be like. Hopefully with E3 next month those won't be to long in coming either.

Well thats because they used CGI to make the FM3 video,it wasen't because of the assists. It does look like they used a debug command to the footage, but it looks they used in-game gameplay, rather then scripted events. Also I don't think the suspenion physics are visially completted, look at how the q7 bottoms out,yet it doesn't even appear to touch the ground.
