Just awesome work. Finally got my pc and tdu playing nicely together today. Was great to get back on the road and see some real ppl about. Thanks for all the hard work that undoubtedly went in to this. TDU LIVES!

If you don't have the old save you can type anything you want in email and password, because GameSpy is dead anyway. It will work.

Got on and the first thing I see is Combat Shotgun off in the distance. Then I spent 20 minutes following DALLAS around while he did wheelies and crashed. Sweet mother of jebus I've missed this.

 

Is there a chance you could do one with the exterior view fuel guage show n the interior aswell? Those fuel bars are butt ugly

Lol. The exterior ones are nice, with the needle and the smooth movement, the blocks just take up too much space and are boring, IMO

Drive a lot, do the short challenges like speed ones, then all the car delivery, parcels, etc. You'll be there in no time.

Dude, just find some car transport missions and you'll have Expert in no time... From there it's preety straight way to HC mode.

I've a question, is it still impossible to change max distance race value,

 

you know, 5,3 kms max when you race against CPU offline......

 

I'd like to race more than those stupid 5,3 kms......

oh yeah, the Good Ol' Days of cruising the original O'ahu map. even saw some familiar names (Dave 500c, Pissed Hornet)

 

just cannot get the game to recognize my g27 gas pedal, have to map the gas to my clutch pedal.....but that's no big deal.

Find your TDU shortcut, right click then go to properties. You'll see "target" which points to the testdriveunlimited.exe. Just add "-fuel" to the end of that. :)

Find your TDU shortcut, right click and select properties:

 

 

Once opened you'll be able to see "Target", which points to your TDU.exe. It'll say something like "C:\Program Files\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\TestDriveUnlimited.exe".

 

 

At the end of that, after the quote mark, you just need to add your command line parameters like displayed above. I have added -fuel for working fuel gauge and -allmanual so that all vehicles use the H-Shifter on my G27. You can add any of the following:

 

-allmanual : all vehicles use h-shifter

-fuel : enables working fuel gauge

-hd : graphics tweaks for high-end computer

-hidewheel : hides the steering wheel and avatar

-sd : less intensive graphics tweaks

-vsync : enables vsync (set to 60fps)

 

And don't forget to click --> Apply <--

The readme states you shouldn't even be touching those because it will reset your savegame.

I know, but I don't have my savegame anymore. Another question - do you see other players on the map? Cause I don't see anyone.

When you don't have an old savegame, you need to start a new carrier. For that you can enter whatever you want as e-mail and password, it will work.

When you don't see anybody on the map, activate UPNP in you router settings or manually forward UDP port 8889.

Did you remember to set combined pedals in Logitech Profiler?
