  1. Time to re-discover the island of Oahu. TDU Platinum pursue the objective to be more than a collection of many different mods in a pack, the objective is to deliver a whole new experience, a whole new way to play with endless possibilities to choose at your own demand, ready to go. The work being done is beyond the gathering of different vehicles, sounds and gauges from different online websites and packing them together, it goes further to new physics, brand new weather, compatible with HDiR, new world textures and also new music for background and radio statios. Why does some vehicles display an absurd Top Speed? That's because how TDU was codded. Sadly, to get the gear ratios to work as they should, you must set the car's Top Speed as the top gear speed. Which means, the maximum speed that the final gear could achieve, regardless of it's power or drag. Usually, vehicles that have an "Overdrive gear" will display absurd values, since the last gear is really long, with the porpouse of fuel saving. Q. Ok, but why it is actually the Top Speed value is lower than the final gear speed? That's because TDU, by standard, adds around 10% more top speed. So, if a car final gear speed is 330 km/h, if you set as 300 km/h, in-game the car will reach 330 km/h. Now, if you set 330 km/h, the car will actually be faster than it should, and will reach 363 km/h. Deducting 10% of the speed makes not only the final gear accurate, but every gear will top at the correct speed, if your gear ratios are correct, which means the speed you need to shift will also be accurate. Q. Why the car classes are broken and i have overpowered vehicles for it's class? Because that was the easiest way i found to get these high-power tunes and keep the game "easily moddable". TDU will only understand a car class change if it reads a new entry on the database. That being said, i would need 4 entries in the car database, for 1 single vehicle, 1 entry being it stock, and 1 new entry for each tune kit. That means instead of 880 vehicles, i would need at least 3520. Not to mention that if someone decides to modify that 1 vehicle, they will need to modify the tuning its aswell. That not only means it would take a long time, but that it would make the game much more complex to be modded, so i used the original upgrade system, that's based on % increase of the base vehicle, but sadly, it doesn't support class changes. Q. The traffic in my game is being glitchy and invisible, what do i do? In the Project Paradise Laucher, make sure to enable V-Sync, to lock your fps to 60. The game won't do well with higher fps. Q. The game is displaying too much brightness, what i did wrong? Usually the dealerships display a higher brightness than the road environment. But also, that could be caused by FX Tweak being enabled in Project Paradise Launcher. TDU Platinum weather system was developed to not require FX Tweak, if you enable it in the launcher, it may override the weather files. Q. The physics have been changed, but they seem the same? That's because the physics engine is the same, but TDU allows each car to have their individual physics worked on, and that's what's been changed. To match real data, because TDU has messed it up even on the original game. Q. TDUPE is not working? Yes it is, but unfortunately i've stumbled across an issue i thought i would have. This issue happens when the database has over a thousand entries, which is the case, since TDU Platinum's database has 1105 entries. So, to use TDUPE, you must follow these steps: To run TDUPE, you must open it as admin. Point your TDU database directory in the settings and click load. Once it has loaded the database, search for the Custom Car you replaced in the car list. Modify and Click save. (That is when the problem starts.) Because TDUPE can't deal with more than 1000 entries in the database, it will make the game crash, to fix that issue, you must open TDU Modding Tools File Browser. Extract the CarPhysicsData.db, located inside the DB.bnk. Decrypt CarPhysicsData.db using TDU UT (this tool i did not provided, but it can be found on the forums) Open it using notepad and set the number of "Items" as 1105, save and close. Encrypt the file again, using TDU UT. Replace the new CarPhysicsData.db inside the DB.bnk. Q. Do i need the game or this is a standalone game? No! You need the game first, this is a mod and won't work on it's own.

  2. Hello everyone! It's been a while since we've openly shared anything about TDU World and an update was long overdue, luckily we have lots of good things to show! Over the past few months we have been working long and hard and have overcome quite a few of the biggest obstacles regarding online play. Some people might already know about some of the news since we teased it in our Discord (which you can join here if you haven't already!), but there is some more stuff to talk about... We won't keep you waiting any longer, lets get into it! TDU World got a fresh new logo! First of all, to go with the advancements of the project, we decided on a new and more distinctive logo. The old one was lacking some emotion and it was a bit boring, the new logo is set to change that! It also fits more into the TDU setting by displaying some palm trees. Here it is: *drum ruffle* We are currently updating all social channels to use the new logo, together with a full restyle of the launcher. Stay tuned! And now: The news you've been waiting for... Yup! you guessed it. After a long time of trial and error, we have gotten the first online interactions working! These include the following features: Player logins & lobbying Free roam, including: Car functionality (i.e. lights, horn, windows, exhaust sounds) Chat (including profanity filter) Co-op driving Instant Challenges (PvP Races) Voice chatting Vehicle Liveries (car colour, stickers, etc.) Dealerships & other player rooms (excluding houses) Both islands (Ibiza & O'ahu, Hawaii) Report/Banning system (All User Offenses) Traffic (AI) GPS player count Joining players via the Map All single player content like races and the timed events still works as normal Features currently in the works: Friends & Recent players list (works but not fully) Time & Weather (works but not fully) Further Lobbying, including but not limited to Races (Private and Matchmaking), Casino, etc. The biggest thing is of course the free roam functionality, which is working very well. Car syncing is great and smooth! We've been teasing this for an awful long time, so here's some content (proof if you will ) of the servers working. Some exciting progress as you can see! As much as the team is working hard, it isn't all perfect yet. On that bombshell... We need the community! We're inviting a handful of players to join us with testing the server stability and functionality as well as get a first peek into the TDU World Mod Pack! TDU World Closed Beta Testing In line with the progress we have been making recently, the time has come to recruit some beta testers to ensure everything so far is working correctly! Due to the complexity of the project and the sheer amount of feedback we will receive, the TDU World Community Server Beta will be limited to 20 people. We will be needing members of the community to test the new server, launcher and mod pack and relay data back to us when you find something funky, or plain broken. To participate, we require the following things: Active contribution Be online often during testing Networking Opening ports in your router Using WireShark to log the communication between your game and the server Test Drive Unlimited 2 A legitimate copy, either retail or Steam. Time to play through part of the game Testing the server stability and mod pack additions Testing car class balance English language Speaking and understanding is a must If you check all of these boxes, you can submit an application here (Click "Here") After we've chosen the 20 players out of all submission, we will be contacting them through Discord (be sure to allow personal messages during this time!). Please do not message any members of the team about the beta access or ask for any updates on the situation. We do not yet know when the beta testing will start. When we have selected a date, we will update everyone! TDU World now has a Patreon! We've been constantly asked by the community if we will be accepting donations from avid TDU fans who want to support us, and now we can finally say yes! We have chosen to go with Patreon as our platform to accept donations on. There will be three tiers you can sign up to, outlined below: Tier 1: £5.00 per month - Special "TDU World Fan" Discord title, bonus work-in-progress content Tier 2: £10.00 per month - Special "TDU World Super Fan" Discord title, bonus work-in-progress content, a TDU World sticker! Tier 3: £25.00 per month - Special "TDU World Ultra Fan" Discord title, bonus work-in-progress content, personalized Thank You Letter and a TDU World sticker & TDU World T-Shirt1! 1 - T-Shirts are only available for patrons who have subscribed for 3 consecutive months. The funds raised will mainly be going towards server hosting, because that isn't free unfortunately! They will also be going towards other project fees. We promise to maintain full transparency on the Patreon as to where they money is being used. For those wishing to support us via Patreon, please visit https://www.patreon.com/OfficialTDUWorld. This is the only official way of donating to the project! Remember: Supporting our project is optional! We will never, ever force players to support us, and playing on the servers/using the mod pack will always be free, forever. The TDU World Mod Pack We recently acquired some new members to start work on the TDU World Mod Pack. The goal with this mod pack is to make Test Drive Unlimited 2 feel like a modern game again. This means new music, new textures and perhaps most importantly: an updated car list. The pack will be split up into multiple parts: Cars, Environment, Sound and of course, a Full pack consisting of all parts. Below, we will go over these parts. Cars Considering how the world of automobiles has evolved since the creation of TDU2 and how many different vehicles have broken records and changed the rules, the car classes are getting fully rebalanced to be better suited for the new cars we are introducing. We did this not by nerfing (slowing down) the original cars, but by putting them against cars that really do match them in performance, whether they were cars from the original game or TDU World additions. For example: the Subaru Impreza is not going to make A6 look like a walk in the park any longer. Instead, it will face tougher competition! The cars we will be adding are not just a combination of existing mods, we are also creating new high quality mods ourselves to accompany them. The new mods we are creating mostly consist of recent and brand new models from countries like Britain, Italy and Germany. While the new mods we are creating will be of high quality, we will also be keeping low end systems in mind. Here is a little sneak peek on some of the vehicles that will be added! Environment For the games' graphics, we will be using a combination of existing mods to bring more life into the islands and make them look less dated. For now we have selected mods for roads, foliage and clouds. We will also be tweaking the in game settings to allow for higher quality shadows, and better draw distance for instance. The tweaks we will be doing here are not set in stone yet and requires more research to see the possibilities. Sound We will be replacing the radio stations to feature new songs, and if possible, we might even add new radio stations! Music for the map, start screen etc. will also be changed. Again, these packs are all optional. In the end, we want everyone to be running the same game, so everyone can enjoy the same cars and more importantly: have a balanced online racing experience! There will of course be people who prefer the stock experience and thus, we will not require use of the modpack. We will, however, be sure everyone runs the same balanced database so all cars will be in the correct classes. Looking for a sound designer! For the mod pack, we also want to overhaul some of the car sounds in the game. These are kind of lacking and remove some of the immersion while driving. The thing is, we currently do not have a member in our team who is able to create high quality sound mods for cars. Therefore, we give the community a chance to apply! Do you think you can create high quality sound mods for the cars in TDU2? We would like to get in touch! ----- We hope we supplied everyone with enough news! This was it for now, we hope to share more news soon, so stay tuned! Thanks to each and every one of you for supporting and following this amazing and huge project! Best regards, The TDU World Team

  3. Long time no news in here. Passing by to tell that work is being made, at slow pace, but it ain't forgotten, it hasn't ended yet. It will take a long time, but i ask you guys to be patient, once again. If you'll all trust me and my work, this may worth the wait, hopefully. lol

  4. Guys, progress is happening, at slow pace, since i have even less free time, but TDU Platinum v2.0 (a.k.a former update 1.13 that grew enough to be called v2.0) is happening.

  5. OMG! Is this news?! Yeah, we know it's been a while since we've done a proper news announcement. We're often extremely busy! Let's begin shall we? What is going on with TDU World now? TDU World and its staff have not gone anywhere, in fact in the last 6 months we've grown to almost 50 members including our Beta Testers! We want to assure the community that there is almost always something being worked on in the background. If we're quiet it usually means we're working on something major. Unfortunately, a project of this scale means that now and again, we have to re-evaluate our work to ensure we're on track to release good quality content per our promise. With this, we’re announcing that there will likely not be any updates coming to the Public Servers, at least for another 3 months. We have had to rewrite a lot of fundamental features in the last 6 months including but not limited to Lobbying to ensure they work as planned, with no issues that may restrict other features as we expand. This work is still ongoing, as discussed later in this announcement. Remember: As long as you are patient, we promise the wait will be worth it! Our promise to the community as always, is that when things are ready, we will release them. This is never going to change. So, what's been worked on? Between the Server Developers and the Mod Pack team, the following has been worked on: Server News The TDU World Server Development Team have been extremely hard at work over the past few months, implementing new features and expanding currently implemented features. Here's a run-down of the current status: Public Servers: Over the last few months, we've made many smaller changes behind the scenes to improve the Public TDU World Servers, most notably when we accidentally broke our Server Status page moving over to Linux. We're well aware that TDU World hasn't received any major public updates since release in February. Despite our best efforts to try to release content, it has become an increasingly difficult task due to many factors, most notably how busy our teams can be at any moment with their own lives. Remember, there’s only 4 of us working on the server at any given moment and we not only have to create the server, we have to pull apart the game’s inner workings first and this is no easy task. The following is Live on the Public Servers: Freeroam: Including Co-Op Driving, and Police Chases No other features are currently due for release yet, and until Lobbying 2.0 is ready there won’t be any further Server Updates. Coming Soon: Lobbying 2.0: One of the biggest and most important changes to TDU World's Servers is Lobbying 2.0: Lobbying 2.0 will bring better, faster in game lobbies, no more false sessions, no more dead lobbies. Multiplayer Racing will make a return too, including head-to-head, all mini games, and Matchmaking. (Support for Clubs, CRC/ORC and Casino Races not included) Lobbying 2.0 will also bring with it better user tracking on the Map, and improve the ability to join player’s sessions on the fly. Friends: The ability to use the Friends List will be making a return soon. The team have almost completed work on this with just a few bugs to iron out. DLC: We're pleased to announce that work on the DLC portion of the TDU World Servers has almost been completed. TDU World Players will be gifted the total amount of TDU World Tokens to unlock every DLC Item in the game, including Casino once we release support for it. As we have warned in the past, if you haven't unlocked the DLC after this update and you sign in to a profile with DLC Vehicles, they will be reset to Miami's Mustang! You do not have to sell your vehicles though. We will release a workaround when we release the DLC Update. Weather: Behind the scenes, a lot of testing and trials have taken place to test out new Weather code for the Server. Whilst there has been improvement, this is still a while away from completion and may take time. Once finished, we hope to tinker with the timings to allow players to unlock the photo achievements whilst online. In the meantime, if you really want to unlock the photographer awards, please launch TDU2 offline for the best results. Stats: Player Stats including Leaderboards is currently undergoing a complete rewrite. The original code simply wasn’t working as expected, and considering stats covers almost every single function in the game, this is a large task to complete. Due to the complexity around Stats, we cannot promise this will come soon. Other Features: Clubs, Casino, and the Community/Official Racing Centers are continually being worked on, features such as MyTDULife (Photos), News, and other smaller but equally important features are also being worked on in stages, however these are all a long way from completion. Over time we hope to continue getting all these features working and will be posting more updates soon. The TDU World Mod Pack for TDU2: Yes it's still being worked on! In order to bring the community the absolute best we can, some of the Server Development Team Members and our Mod Pack Team have been working to produce brand new and exclusive tools for TDU2 with the aim of achieving complete control over the game’s content. We're pleased to announce that we will be releasing further news regarding the initial release of the Mod Pack within the next 2 months. (And yes we mean within 2 months, We're confident as a team that this goal can be achieved!) For now, here’s what you can expect in the first TDU World Mod Pack release: Approximately 30 vehicles including officially unreleased, and a handful of vehicles chosen by the TDU World Team Misc bug fixes TDU World Launcher with TexMod support + lots of bug fixes and improvements The Mod Pack will be updated on a regular basis to include more content including: More vehicles: Themed Packs will be released on a timely basis. Improved Physics: General world physics and a complete rework of all current and future vehicles. Unreleased Content: This isn’t a promise, but the more we’re tearing apart the game, the more we’re seeing the Auction Center and new buildings such as Night Clubs being a possibility. Over time as our tools improve we will see what we can do about potentially releasing these features depending on how much work they need to finish. Alongside this awesome news, we've got some upcoming features for the TDU World Launcher: We’ve gone back to the drawing board with the TDU World Launcher and it has undergone a major transformation. The next release of the TDU World Launcher will provide: Better loading, no more “UpLauncher” errors! Better support for Offline Play Improved NAT/Port Forwarding detection A working Server Status indicator TexMod Support New and improved updater for the Launcher, Base Game and the Mod Pack The new TDU World Launcher will make its debut alongside the Mod Pack, of which the release date will be confirmed within the next 8 weeks. Finally, We'd like to thank our Patrons, new and old for supporting us with your donations. We're extremely thankful there's still so many dedicated fans to the TDU Franchise and cannot wait to bring the TDU World Community more content as tome goes by. Our promise to all patrons is to continue providing more early access news releases as a way of saying thanks, and as always you will receive merchandise if you're a Super or Ultra Fan. If you're not already a patron and would like to see more details, please follow the link below: https://www.patreon.com/OfficialTDUWorld

  7. The swinsuit is unfinished stuff from Atari. Sadly, when you make the normal clothes being accessible on bikes, you also have access to unfinished stuff. Also, yeah, this whole process of modding TDU started in August 2016. Lol Also, i am glad, really glad that you guys are enjoying it. This is what keeps me motivated to keep working on it, trying to make it even better.

  9. Well, from where do i even start? I guess the beggining. So, i will adress a few things, so you can understand it better. Back in 2016, i learned how to modify my own TDU game, learned how to add new cars, without replace an existing one. Replacing existing cars has been the way to moify TDU since 2008 if not earlier. But around 2015 people started to figure out a way to add a new entry. So, there was me, happilly adding new cars, untill i've come across a problem, while playing multiplayer, other people couldn't see my cars. That is when i decided to make a "car pack", which then became to be Ultra Community Pack. TDU Platinum is basically Ultra Community Pack update v1.05. So, to clarify, TDU Platinum doesn't have a team of people, it is basically a 1-person's work. I would be selfish to take full credit, because the mods i used were all mae by other people, for years and uploaded for public download. I did a few things myself, as i know how to edit textures, weather and the game database. But cars, sounds... that's not under my knowledge abilities. Everything was downloaded and added into the game in the best way i could find. With that in mind, let's start to address the points/suggestions you made. 1-> 1.1 - The vehicle tachometer and speedometer, the 3D one, is set up in a software, called zmodeler. The modder who makes the car mod is responsible for such setup. The only way to fix this issue, is unlock the mod file, using HEX Editor (Keep in mind that this is not really well seen by TDU Modding Community) and edit it. All this, of course, if you know how to properlly set a tachometer/speedometer in a TDU car mod. 1.2 - Like i said, everything was downloaded. 99% of car mods don't have a sound mod, or a gauge mod for them, because to make them, it is required different skills. Usually, a car modder can't make a sound mod or a gauge mod, and a sound modder can't make a car, you get the point. So, unless they talk with each other to release a "full mod kit", that contains car, gauge and sound, you're pretty much on your own. I actually know how to make gauge mods, but if i make them for every car, TDU Platinum would take not 3 years, but at least double the time. Because it ain't as easy as it sounds. 1.3 - Same issue with the Tachometer and speedometer. That is set on zmodeler, in the car mod file. To fix it, you need to unlock the file. 1.4 - Same as 1.3. Zmodeler limited. The position of the driver is set on zmodeler. 1.4 (2) - Not every car is on zeperfs, plus, some cars have ficticious power and acceleration, because they are upgraded versions that i added for better gameplay, such as D-Class Supra upgrades. TDU doesn't have a drag strip so i could measure 1/4 mile times of all the 880 vehicles. Plus, you're the first one to actually mention the need of accurate 1/4 times, specially because they have no influence on how a car performs in-game at all. It's just a data value to be displayed. 1.5 and 1.6 - TDU Platinum physics were devoleped in Hardcore mode. For some unknown reason, some cars do not perform the same when in normal mode. So, for any judging on how a car performs, please play on hardcore mode. But a further explanation. TDU doesn't really work well. You have a "general" grip value, a general acceleration value. Some RWD cars, like the LaFerrari, have a higher acceleration value to match it's 0-60 time. I could increase the grip value, and it would have basically the same result, although, the car would have blistering performance on the corners, due the huge grip. It's an old arcade game, compromises have to be made. 1.7 - I know the sound is a very important aspect of the pleasure of a driving game! But again, as said, these are mods, that require people to make them. I would love to have every single car sounding perfectly accurate, sadly, modders can't go and record real car samples. In fact, only a few modders actually still make TDU sound mods, because guess what? It ain't that easy. 1.8 - I didn't allowed the 3 "top cars" (P1, LaFerrari and 918) to be tuned because they are too good already. And cars that can reach over 400km/h in stock form also can't be tuned. But whatever. Maybe i will change that. 1.9 - I would like that too, unfortunatelly, it's impossible at the moment. Game was never meant to have such feature. 1.10 - I kinda disagree, but feel free to change it yourself. I provided the tool you need to edit it. It's called TDUF. 1.11 - Again, TDU Platinum was made in Hardcore mode, to really experience it's physics, please do drive there, and at least have some sort of throttle control, so, i don't recommend keyboard playing. And again, personal taste, i tried to make the cars as they are, not to fit a person's preference. 1.12 - It's literally impossible to have the "smoke" anywhere else but on start-up. That's how the game was coded. And about the car RPM dropping slowly, keep in mind these cars are all mods, done by different people. So, compromises have to be made in order to get them at least driving well. 1.13 - Zmodeler issue. To fix it, you need to unlock the mod files aswell. Can't be done. 1.14 - That's because the sound mod requires it. It takes longer because it has a longer start up sound. 1.15 - Impossible to have such feature, as game never meant to have it. 1.16 - 880 is not enough? 1.17 - Sadly, bike mods are a rare thing in TDU. The ones that there is, are kinda low quality and not worth adding. 2 --> 2.1 - I kept the original traffic, because traffic mods are a huge factor in FPS drop. Since i wanted the game to run as light as possible, no traffic mods. 2.2 - Nobody so far managed to successfully add a new traffic car, because how they are coded. 2.3 - Impossible to have such feature, as traffic control is encrypted af and nobody really understands how they work. 2.4 - Frequency can sort of be controlled, but again, not in-game, since the file is encrypted, you gotta edit it via notepad, with the game closed. 2.5 - Impossible to change how the traffic behaves. Their path is encoded in the game core. But if you drive behind them, usually they leave their lane if they can. (they won't leave if they are overtaking or being overtaken) 3--> 3.1 - I would like to see that too, but TDU map modding has just started with BEight. Nobody before him could really mod TDU map like that. And i already asked him about making the Airport as asphalt, and he told me that's not possible, because how the sectors work. 3.2 - Same reason of the Airport. You can't increase the amount of asphalt on a given sector. You can change it's place, but to create something new, you gotta remove from somewhere else. 3.3 - Sadly, that can't be changed either. As it's coded into the game. 4--> 4.1 - Impossible to do that, as i don't think the game really measures it, plus, chronopack is a feature hard coded in the game. 4.2 - Impossible to do that aswell, same reason as 4.1 4.3 - You can actually change the songs. Press R, and then the button you assigned for left-right in the menus. Tap once, and it changes the radio, tap twice, and it changes the song. More radios is not possible, but you can create 4 new radios per profile. They are the User radio. TDU has a limit of songs per radio, hard coded limit. And there isn't a way to make them work different as they already do. 4.4 - Impossible to have such thing. Plus, TDU is about driving, go explore and memorize. It won't take that long. 4.5 - Why not? Maybe because it's also impossible to have it? 4.6 - Also impossible to do such thing. 5--> 5.1 - I don't think so. I did that on porpouse. I want people to go play, explore and find the cars themselves. TDU itself never listed the 350Z Nismo, neither the Saleen S281. So, i want to preserve the "surprise effect" of the game. So, forget about it. 5.2 - Sadly, people will modify it regardless. Plus, i want modders to be able to work on the game aswell, so they can work on new projects and what-not. So, tools are required. About Project Paradise, nothing can be done. Speeder and Lean are nowhere to be found, and only them can actually work on TDU servers. But Frank Maestre, TDU's lead guy on multiplayer already said, many features require a separated server to run, which he is not willing to give the code, like he gave the free roam server code to Speeder and Lean. So, Project Paradise will remain as it is. Turboduck is an old forum, that has changed platform quite a lot. Modders erased their download links, or they simply expired. We are a small team of 4 or so people that have a lot to do with our lives, and check every single topic will demand a lot of time. But, now, to finish it up, i will say what i think. I think you were quite pedantic on your post. I know, good intention, but the fact that you haven't even considered that if it was possible, it would have been done kinda upsets me. TDU Platinum is a mod that took me 3 years to make, i did what i could, and you paid nothing for, yet, you come here and post a really long list of wishes and desires without even consider the possibility of something not being possible to be done, otherwise it would have been made. Feels ungrateful, despite of what you said at the beggining.

  15. View File -> TDU Platinum Dealer Updates <- 01 - US Independents Dealership Update Good news! I've been thinking about this for a while, and i finally decided to do it so. Everyone knows that Platinum 2.0 is under development, at a really not desired pace, but moving nonetheless, also, what not everyone knows is my progress schedule. I am working a dealer at a time, so i decided, why not release small updates once i finish these dealers? This way, you guys not only will be able to follow my progress closely, how will also be able to enjoy new things without massive waiting times. Although, not everything is good, and there are compromises. One of them is, these updates are not cumulative and not single picked downloads, if you skip one, the next one might cause bugs and crash your game, so, download all of them and keep yourself up to date! I mean, if you haven't downloaded and installed update 01, the following update (02), won't work. You will need to download 01, and 02, install both. Another compromise, if you edit the database of the game, your personal changes will not be carried over. Now, keeping that in mind, download it and have fun. -> How to install <- Just replace the files in the according folders. -> 01 - US Independents Update Content <- - Updated Shelby Series 1 with stripeless variation added as a tune - Updated Saleen S7 Twin Turbo and Saleen S7 Twin Turbo Competition with fixed gauges and new tailight texture - Updated SSC Ultimate Aero with fixed shadows, new tailight texture, paintable interior and GPS screen Submitter Milli Submitted 10/23/2022 Category Tools / Others

  16. View File Andraste Modding Framework Development Build Andraste Modding Framework Andraste, at it’s core, is a generic modding framework, aiming to bring a modern toolset into old (DX 9) and modern games alike. It does so by injecting a .NET FX Runtime into native applications, allowing us to code the framework in a safe language (C#), which even opens up the possibility to write code modifications in .NET languages, that interface seamlessly with the native code of the game. Note: This current release requires you to be tech-savy and is primarly aimed at mod developers and to find problems with the base-framework. It won't provide major features, yet, so don't sweat it, if you can't get it to run. Note: While this is in the TDU2 category, Andraste can also be used for TDU1 and potentially a lot of other games (unless they are 64 bits or have some protective anti cheat system) How to run Andraste Currently, Andraste only comes with a console launcher, so to launch it, you need to execute the Launcher.exe and pass the path to your game. This can be done by dragging the game onto the Launcher.exe or better: creating a shortcut to do that. If Andraste is running, it should write logging output into the console window of the launcher. At this point, you can start creating mods that will then be loaded into your game. In order for mods to be loaded into your game, place them into the mods folder next to the Launcher.exe Currently, since the Launcher has no proper GUI, all mods are always loaded, you can't toggle them, but you can move them out of the mods folder. If you still have problems launching Andraste, see our Docs on using the Launcher and "installing" mods. Converting an Mod into the Andraste Format First, make sure that you have the permission of the original author to convert/upload the andraste version of the mod. Then, follow our Getting Started Guide What can I use it for, at the moment? If you managed to convert a mod, you can now use (and remove!) these game mods, without changing your unpacked(!) base game (the game needs to be unpacked, because the VFS feature only replaces existing files, it doesn't create packed files yet). While this feature may not be impressive yet (besides removing mods without having to have a backup of your game folder somewhere), there is much more possible with that technique, but that takes manpower and time. Internally, we're currently using the scripting functionality to find out more about the game and progress on different fronts such as multiplayer or asset manager, so definitely stay tuned for further progress, at some point, we will release the TDU2 Modding Framework, that is an additional layer on top of Andraste, providing TDU2 specific features (patching files inside BNKs, running on a packed game, hot reloading, ...) If you need further assistance, don't hesitate to read our documentation, post in the relevant forum thread, here on turboduck, or in #tdu-modding on https://discord.tduniverse.org Andraste is a TDUniverse Umbrella Project by MeFisto94 and redd Submitter MeFisto94 Submitted 06/04/2022 Category Tools / Others

  17. It is model related. The rotation of the needles are determined by the location of the dummys in the interior 3D model file. There is no quick way of fixing it other than trial and error, and since this is not efficient, it is not worth the time. You have the gearing data of the real world car all over the internet. Just upgrade the OS, install TDUF or TDUPE and enter those exact values for all gears then? You cant just upgrade one gear and expect it to work. This is how gears work. Everything is connected. You have 7 gears and a final drive ratio, all those have to correspond with each other. Again, you have no right to demand anything of a work you don't pay a dime or a second for. This is a volunteer project of some individuals doing that in their free time. You absolutely have no rights for a demand. You can request and suggest, but you can not demand anything. And your cheat argument doesn't really grip either since vanilla players have the same issue you described then. I already explained everything about "demanding". Milli does not have to do anything you demand, and you should not expect your demands to be fulfilled. Please step down from your high horse. But what stops you to contribute work for the project then? Expecting stuff to be done from volunteers but not contribute anything yourself but demands is helping nobody.

  19. Indeed, garbage, that is what someone likes to hear, after several hundreds of hours of work, did in spare time aside a fulltime job, family, other hobbies, thank you, thank you. Without that summery you would never know about many mods at all. And there is way more stuff to list, like thousends of sounds, rims, performance packs. Like Milli said, download links without modders permission, is not welcome in modding community. So there are no direct dl links now. Perhaps I could start inserting dl links, but only behind a paywall, and share the income with the modders (so far able to contact them) getting paid for our work. Where were you 12+ years ago, when mostly all links here and elsewhere worked? I would say, life punishes those who come too late. Many modders left, because after so much time other games came up or interests changed. TDU is by far not that popular like GTA oder Euro Truck Simulator, even more so nowadays. Reventon09 moved on to GTA modding, for example. Only very few are left with TDU, like StarGT. And the fact is, like Milli mentioned, there is simply no man power/knowledge, and I guess never will be, to crack the game coding more than is atm. Look, lately I gave all existing TDU modding video tutorials to Turboduck for republishing at their youtube channel, so you can immediately get involved developing (better) mods for all. Or start reengineering the game, if you think, that's so easy. Roosevelt once said, don't look at what your country can do for you, look at what you can do for your country. What can we expect by you? No offense at all, just wondering about your statement, also if stated as suggestions, but subliminal are demands. Wish you a nice time with TDU.

  20. People modding right here do their best regarding the free time they get. That could be even better, but hey already better than nothing. I would never expect this game could be as easily modded/moddable as GTA for example. Some games have a bright modding future, some haven't such, there are lots of reasons for that. At the end of the day, instead of complaining about others not doing enough given the game potential, some people should be more helpful and start contributing. It's never to late....

    TDU2: Unofficial Patch

View File TDU2: Unofficial Patch TDU2: Unofficial Patch v0.4.1 July 01, 2021 The main goal of this project was to track down and fix many little bugs that were missed by the developers. As the time went by we started adding our own custom content. The patch grew bigger and bigger to the point that UP started to look more like a modpack than a small patch. TDU2: UP fixes a lot of car's specific bugs - like Lotus Evora gear ratios, Audi Q7 collapsing into tarmac etc. To preserve vanilla driving feeling and performance my changes to the car's physics were done very conservatively. This mod provides easy access to vehicles (through dealerships) which were removed from the final game. The first release of the patch restored to the game all deleted cars (for example Nissan 370z Nismo and HotRod). Future releases provided cars made by our talented modders. All new vehicles have improved physics and balanced performance - player without UP would still have a chance of winning in multiplayer race using only official vehicles from the same segment - do not worry. I have spent hundreds of hours preparing this mod. If you want to express your gratitude for my hard work you are welcome to donate. Rims can now be changed outside of debug tools And, arguably one of the most important things, functions to change paint color are now working. Finally I can preview the car in anything else than pure white: Not much, but the paint thing is a major update. Will post more updates as soon as there are any.

    TDU2: Unofficial Patch

It is a long time since I wrote here my last post. Guys! I have updated the Unofficial Patch but do not expect anything spectacular - no new content, just the previously unreleased stuff from the days when I was working on now abandoned 0.5 version of the patch. Some of the files waited on my PC for YEARS! Hopefully new content will be soon released in the upcomming TDUW Modpack . If so, why releasing the update after so long time? Well, the main change is behind the curtain. UP is now packed in .big format, so you are no longer required to unpack the game. Packed format is mandatory to be able to play with Unofficial Patch installed on TDUW Online server. Furthermore packed mod means that there is less space for user errors. It is a win-win situation. Of course, if you are adventorous enough feel free to play unpacked. Please report if you found content that was in v0.4 but is missing in this one. This is the first release of such big packed mod. I couldn't find errors but I can't promise there aren't any.

  29. Hi everyone, just a small post to announce TDUF 2.0 is in development, and will feature some fixes and materials handling from Database Editor (read-only for now, I hope modifications will be possible - but without guarantee). After that, there won't be more changes on this TDUF in the future (unless critical bugs will be detected). I'm already working on a new architecture for TDUF, and it will represent tons of work. So don't expect to be released anytime soon. I will try to post details about it in a while. Thanks for using TDUF!

  34. TDU World News: August 2022 Hello Everyone! Yes we know it’s been a while however Team TDU World has a whole lot of news to cover, so let’s begin! What’s going on with Team TDU World? The first half of 2022 has been a bit of a crazy time for Team TDU World, and we're aware that there've been lots of rumours, controversial moments and changes both within our Team, and across both the TDU World and general TDU2 communities. For those of you who haven’t been following the news as it happened across the TDU World Community Discord here’s the rundown: April 2022 saw Team TDU World experience a significant change in management and staff: A discussion was held internally which raised some important points within the team, primarily around management and timings, but also around the work being carried out at the time since it was quickly becoming a point of contention. Unfortunately, whilst an agreement was extremely close between the team as a whole, plans fell through and some of the team decided to part ways. This meant a majority of the talented members working on the Website, Game Server, Launcher and the ModPack had moved on to form various groups of their own, which have now subsequently become competitors within the TDU2 Community. This change ultimately reduced the amount of time the team can put into the project as we now have the same workload but a smaller team, however we are still well invested into the project and are keen to deliver on our promise to the community: To provide an improved experience for the TDU2 Community that provides the most stable and secure Game Server, a fluid Mod Pack with some of the best hand picked mods, reinvented physics/handling and much more into the future, and a well rounded Launcher to provide a quick and easy solution to manage your game. The remaining members of Team TDU World came together, reformed under the same name, and currently consists of the following members: xXBeefyDjXx - Founder of TDU World, Launcher/Server/Website Project Manager + Developer Xarlith - Co-Manager of TDU World, Mod Pack Project Manager + Developer GeeTee - Beta Project Manager Esurient - Website Developer/Design Manager Introvert3D - Mod Pack Clothing Designer Kurya - Mod Pack Vehicle Skin Designer 25 Beta Testers and counting! So, What has Team TDU World been working on? We’re pleased to say that over the past few months the team has been hard at work across all areas. Whilst this is not quite ready for release, we’re getting ready to move a significant amount of changes to Beta shortly and anticipate that testing shouldn’t take too long. Without further ado, let’s get stuck into one of our biggest updates yet! TDU World Game Server for TDU2 Current Status As of right now, the following is available on TDU World’s Game Server: Free Roam (Port Forwarding 8889 Required) Friends including searching for players to add and basic presence Basic Multiplayer Racing (Known bugs, start ASAP to bypass issues) Whilst we are well aware that this seems a little basic at the moment, Team TDU World are pleased to announce that our resident developer Beefy has been hard at work over the past few months and the following will be coming out of Beta in our next update: Lobbying 2.0 Lobbying 2.0 has been in release status since April, and since then we have identified the remaining issues, which have been related to the current version of the TDU World Launcher. As such, the next Lobbying Update will be released, and subsequent improvements will be worked on after the launch of the new TDU World Launcher later this year. Free-Roam Lobbying has been improved and should be more reliable. This will further be improved by the release of the new TDU World Launcher (explained below) Racing has been overhauled: Matchmaking has been overhauled and now completely works as intended for Public/Private Races and Mini Games such as Follow the Leader. Map Tracking has been improved and should no longer result in random game crashes caused by tracking players who have gone offline Support for 32 Player Casino Lobbies has been implemented in preparation for the release of TDU2: Casino Online DLC Clubs We’re also pleased to announce that Clubs in TDU2 will finally be making a return! As of this news release, players in Beta have been testing out the Club features and we’re able to confirm that creation and management of Clubs in game is working as expected. In the next update you will be able to: Create and Manage your Club as the president View your Club Statistics in detail and compare with others Invite up to 32 friends to join your Club (Max Level Clubs only) Search for and Join or Switch between a Club if you’re already a member elsewhere Manage Club Ranks for all members Earn XP and Donate to your Club Upgrade your Clubs once you earn enough XP and Donations Purchase all 4 exclusive Club vehicles with enough donations at Level 3 We haven’t yet been able to confirm if we will have Club vs Club Matchmaking ready in time for the next update, and know that there is also work still to be done to ensure the appropriate news notifications pop to Club Members, however we will keep everyone updated as soon as we have more information. DLC The DLC Service on the TDU World Server has been overhauled however we are still experiencing issues with DLC Vehicles unlocking on players running DLC2 v034. As a work around until it is resolved, all DLC Vehicles will be unsupported by the server, meaning that they will show as regular vehicles and will not turn into Miami’s Mustang if purchased. The Casino Online DLC has been fixed, and will be available in the next update. TDU2: Casino Online TDU2: Casino Online will finally be opening its doors on the TDU World Server very soon! We have been hard at work with our beta testers to ensure that the Casino Slots Games are working at their best, with multi line bets, variable payouts, winning animations and more all now working as originally intended by the developers. At it’s launch, the TDU World Casino Server will be able to support up to 32 players per Casino Room, however only the Casino Slots will be available. Roulette, Poker and the VIP Tournament area will be locked upon the initial release, and will open up as soon as each game mode is ready. Work in progress, showing final Beach Slots, and the rest of the Slots Games being tested during development can be found on Beefy's channel here More Features As of this news release, we can also give some more updates about some features that won’t be ready for the next update, but progress is being made… MyTDULife/Statistics Unfortunately we haven’t yet been able to get MyTDULife working stable so this is currently on the backburner until further notice. This means that at the moment, only very basic statistics in the game will work, such as Player Money, and Vehicles/Houses owned. On the subject of Statistics, we have managed to get the Leaderboards working in game; as of the next update, all the Leaderboards will temporarily show a placeholder until we’re sure that the appropriate anti-cheat measures are in place to avoid people cheating their way to the top. Official/Community Racing Centres Whilst they will not be opening their doors on the next update, We’re pleased to announce that solid progress is being made on the Official and Community Racing Centres. As of this update, we’ve been able to successfully upload races to the Community Racing Center and browse the available challenges, however downloading Challenges has not yet been completed. So close, yet so far! The lack of ability to download races means that we’ve been unable to test out the Official Racing Center yet either, however we’re anticipating this can be fixed up relatively soon. Leaderboards will spring into life alongside the Statistics update for general races in game, however the same issue stands where we must ensure that appropriate Anti-Cheat is in place before the Community Racing Center can be opened or this will have a negative impact on the competitive aspect of this feature. In Game News Progress has been made on In Game News and we are hopeful that towards the end of the year we will be able to fully implement this feature. It will cover quite a few online aspects including Clubs as mentioned above, several reports for the Racing Centers and in the future, custom news for TDU World. Most notably, it will be used to push notifications if the game server is due to reboot for an update, as shown in the sneak peak below TDU World Launcher Team TDU World have been hard at work preparing the next major update for the TDU World Launcher and we’re pleased to announce that in the next update, the following will be coming: A new, improved and simplified Installation experience Support for Automatic Updates to the Launcher Improved NAT Detection to improve support for newer/locked down network devices TexMod support Improved Settings: Offline Mode, and the ability to switch between Game Servers Improved Discord Presence In later updates, we will be implementing even more options into the TDU World Launcher such as a dedicated Troubleshooting tool, Mod Manager supported by TurboDuck, and even support for launching the original Test Drive Unlimited. Stay Tuned for more to come later in the year! TDU World Website After months of long work between Beefy and Esurient, we’re pleased to announce that in the next update, We will be releasing the new TDU World Website to the public! Whilst our current website gets the job done whilst looking rather sleek, we’re very quickly outgrowing the current back end that runs it, meaning we’re having to spend longer working on making sure that everything on our Launcher and Server works with the current Website code. Rather than stretch development time and make the community wait longer for a release, we went back to the drawing board, completely rebuilding the Web Server and planning the Website Design from scratch. The rebuild has helped us to move forwards at a significant pace, allowing us to incorporate a more interactive experience between the Website and the Game Server. For players, this will come in many ways, including but not limited to: Quickly and easily manage your TDU World Account and Game Profiles Get Password Resets, Email Changes and Recovery Requests faster Improved API Support for Game Server Status, Launcher Updates + Mod Downloads View Leaderboards and Statistics across the TDU World Community View Photos taken in game online and export them Manage your Friends, Clubs and Community Challenges (Some features will be released once the appropriate feature is released on the Game Server) For Moderators, support for In Game Reporting and General Management will also be improved significantly, making sure we can provide the best experience for our community where clean competition is strongly encouraged! TDU World Mod Pack Since we launched the TDU World Game Server for TDU2, we promised to develop the ultimate modpack/expansion this game deserves. It's a big responsibility and not an easy task. Over the last 2 years, we started three times from scratch. For many reasons. The former team did not have much experience at modifying TDU2. Our internal tools were also acquiring more and more new functionalities, which meant that what we created earlier was not as good as it could be now. New modders also joined us, The concepts have also changed, and not everyone was keen on that which presumably became one of the reasons for the original team disbanding, so on and so forth. The bottom line is that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Currently, the work on the mod is at an advanced stage and we are very proud of the outcomes. Thanks to our efforts, the game looks and feels more polished than ever and soon its condition will allow us to just freely focus on expanding the vehicle selection. Current Status Better physics, better tires & better steering assists Thanks to the experience of our modders and the effort they put into learning how physics in TDU2 actually work, we managed to overcome many of its shortcomings while maintaining the spirit of TDU2. By selecting full assistance and default settings, the driving experience is similar to the original but by choosing hardcore the physics changes dramatically, is more challenging, much less grippy and unlike original it actually allows you to have some control over the car while drifting. Yes, with some practice, drifting/power sliding is possible. It's a tribute to the TDU1 fans but of course, due to the engine limitations it is not the same, one would say not even close. Anyway, we are having a lot of fun with it and hope you will have also. It is not only a global change. Each of the 180 cars have been tested and tweaked accordingly! Real-world performance of all vehicles First, with the help of our beta testers, we did a huge amount of research and collected very detailed info about the in-game vehicles such as stats and real-world performance tests from reliable sources. Then, within the game's limitations we did our best to reproduce that. No more artificial speed limiters, no more weirdly fast or slow cars. No more underperforming gearboxes. Balanced vehicle classes Our top tier beta testers thoroughly tested the vehicle's performance and with a help of a well thought set of rules we reorganized the vehicle classes. If you are curious how we are doing this here is a sneak peek from our testing sheet. We did censor some stuff and won't show the new vehicles because we don’t want to reveal all of them just yet. After all, the best part of the new stuff is first hand discovering which car is the best and what's at the dealers. Balanced time trials and harder AI opponents We have spent time playing through all the events in the game, including driving schools, cups and championships to make them more challenging but fair. Forget about difficult license tests and boringly easy championship time trials. We made the AI opponents significantly faster. Winning is not a piece of cake anymore. A little sweat won't hurt while winning those millions, right? New vehicles TDU World's Modpack will be modest in the regard of the amount of new vehicles but that will change with future regular content updates. Modest means over 40 hand picked additional community sourced vehicles with our tweaks at your disposal (including vehicles introduced with the Unofficial Patch) right after the release. Here's a selection of the vehicles that you should expect to see in the upcoming pack: Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato Jaguar XJ220 Mclaren F1 Porsche Cayenne GTS Jeep Wrangler Koenigsegg CC8S Pagani Zonda R Porsche Cayman R And many more Optional graphic overhaul mods A set of optional graphical and ease of use mods will be adapted to work flawlessly on top of our basic, mandatory patch. Mandatory because we do not want you to experience any injustice in competitive play modes. Thus each of the players will have to run the same TDU2 version to be able to compete. Optional mods are optional because they do not interfere with the vehicle's performances. So, Release when?! We hear each and every one of you who come by to ask when the next update is coming to TDU World. We’d absolutely love to promise a specific time frame for the next update however due to the limited resources of the team and the amount of work required to squash the final bugs that we may find, we cannot do so quite yet. We’re hopeful that we can provide a major release by the end of the year, we’ve smashed out a significant chunk so far and believe that this is easily achievable. As always, continue to stay tuned here on TurboDuck, and on Discord over at the TDU World Community for the latest updates, we promise we will provide future news on a semi regular basis! 35. Check out the other TDU builds with more cars.. they should also have more things to complain about as well, so it should suit your needs better.

  36. What's wrong with you? Come on you clever guy, tell us stupids how to include so many cars with indeed 470 car limit ingame and without detour of using tuning shops for including? You should go on to Pokemons or other bullshit, bye.

  40. Hi pic of WIP, materials from Database Editor . That's just a small sample of information backed in the colors.bnk file. Could not test it yet, but I'm pretty sure one will be able to use any available material at any location (exterior, interior, calipers..).

  41. Nice guide, but using magic map will replace TDU Platinum map and thus would make most of mods hidden. Just skip this step. Also, TDUF is much more powerful to edit vehicle settings.

  42. Well, new cars, "new races", new music, overhauled cars, like Astons have new rims, new sounds... It is more down to detail polishing. As i said in Discord, it feels like a DLC. Lol

  44. Yet again, it is not worth the time. The models are not made by Milli and it's not really her responsibility either. She does not *need* to do anything. You can easily do that for your own game. You have the tools, you have the research power. If you'd like to do changes on the game, go for it, but do not demand it from others. The input is appreciated but please drop this demanding tone. We are talking about Test Drive Unlimited, not Assetto Corsa. The cars were grippy in the game since the beginning, this is an arcade game. The physics engine is 15+ years old, and was pretty mediocre back then even. The price cars are always free, and there are quite a few. Nardo is one of them. They don't have a price. They are always at 0 but you can not obtain them normally.

  45. I know this is really lame to get nostalgic over, but it's so cool to see that this gamne which defined my teenage years, which I'd followed since even before the 360 launched is still getting dedicated support. I'm installing platinum now for some muuuuch needed nostalgia. Thanks everyone for keeping this game alive ♥
