My view on the list:

 

- weird way of sorting brands, why not just stick to the brand/type combo the public is used to?

- Q7 Inuit? So it only got out of an exclusive pre-order status but it did got in?...

- 5 Veyrons? Can't we just stick to a 16.4 stock, a GrandSport and a SuperSport?

- no other Corvettes other than the C1?

- 5 Zonda's? Same story as Veyron, as much as it's an awesome car 3 versions would have been enough

 

I further actually quite agree that letting out Lamborghini and Maserati will become a noticable headache for Atari (I guess it's not Eden's decision which cars get in or not), I think we can prepare ourselves for loads of anger-release on all TDU2 related forums, going back to the era of the pre-megapack Russian flood.

 

Also, why on this damn planet did they had to include the Beetle and 2CV? Those two need a class of their own because even the other classics are just too fast for them, and they really have no added value. It's a massive unbalanced performance to put those two in with the whole load of somewhat desirable cars.

 

I know what will have to be the first DLC, no matter how many people want bikes you just can't leave out Lamborghini.

 

 

So all in all, I'm a little bit disappointed. I'm still going to get this game, but I now have this odd feeling people might need to adjust expectations for TDU-related things from this time on if Eden/Atari not only need too long to publish stuff, but also want to be ignoring awfully often requested things when they promise ''to listen to the community carefully''.

I disagree to an extent, adding fun cars in like them is great, we know we won't realistically be racing in them as if we were going to be, they'd make us choose one of them for the first car, but they don't (as far as I know), which means they're there just for messing around in.

That's assuming the physics are fixed, in which case I'd probabyl only play the game up to about 10% and then wait for a physics patch, during which time I'd enjoy playing DiRT 3 and Shift 2 :p

Porsche is licensed just to EA and to the XBOX. As far as other Japanese cars are concerned, I agree it's a shame. :( I guess that proves STi fans are more persistant than Evo fans! :lol: :p

 

I honestly hadn't noticed the Lamborghini and Maserati thing - that's really weird. :eek: Hope we get a DLC for those.

If the inclusion of those 2 oversized 1:43 pullback cars has to mean more modern supercars don't get in, I can't see any reason to include them.

I've been doing a quick look at the lists I'm maintaining elsewhere and for myself, next to the cars everybody misses/wants, these are rumoured ones also not in:

 

- Donkervoort (remember there was an event in the Donkervoort factory, why there if they don't include it? And how the hell does a bunch of French developers and international publishers know about Flevoland lol (the ''state/province'' where the factory is located)

- Hot Rod

- Nissan 350Z (can't remember but I think this one was mentioned, or also seen in a screenshot)

- Nissan R34 Skyline GTR (remember it was on a poster on the Audi TT-RS garage screenshot)

^This is why I'm probably not going to waste my money on it now. This is not worth the insane pre-order price, or even whatever it hits the actual market at. It's just TDU1 with some dirt, a Q7, and a new island. Coulda just packed this into a $20 DLC.

I big disappointed this car list. On this list we don't have even half cars what shold be! And something smells me here. On list isn't Lambo, Maseatti, 2 Saleens what was told about them in previews. And olny fiew SUV's. Sucks.

Too bad they paid to much attention to things like plastic surgery,

barber shop and the casino. Those ideas are cool but it is still a

racing game right? They had to put more cars in the game like

It's a bloody racing game, then how come we got crappy car psychics and a car list that's... disappointing to say the least. Most of their resources and time was spent on making those Sims nobody actually cares for, and they've practically ignored the most important part of TDU. Grrr!

And remember not only has the entire TDU2.com domain most likely been flooded with bad reactions, I heard many people are cancelling their pre-orders.

 

Yea, Eden and Atari now have their hands full lol. For TDU3, 200 cars should be the minimum, and that has to be the amount without counting in pre-orders and clubcars.

Erm... ok what happened to the 200 odd cars we were supposed to be getting, while I do think the 2CV and Beetle will be a nic change of pace if it meant sacrificing other cars for them I think it's a bit silly, I have also just noticed they have left the Skyline GTR34 off. :cry:

 

Not good lets just hope this is just part 1 of the car list. :confused:
