But here's the good bit, I just got an email back from Atari (finally). Apparently word of this petition has been passed onto the dev team for further consideration. So it sounds like they 'may' be considering releasing a patch to allow for hosting player based sessions.

Ahoy chaps, I may have some good news, but this is Atari we're talking about here. So let's not get too excited, yet.

Sad to say that Atari, in it's usual level of efficiency, took the server down on the morning of the 28th instead of the 29th.

Unforunitely, we noticed :( What about xbox servers, have the forgot about them or did they shut them off too?

 

And MrLolololol, any chance you could annoy Atari some more (while complaining about the fact they lied and were a day early) :p

Microsoft would likely be in control of the servers for 360; the delay would be on their side probably. Partially why 360 players generally had better connectivity than we did on PC
