Went to a Merc meeting. Along the way we saw many special cars such as 50's lorries, old Rolls Royces, Bentleys, some Cadillacs, a few Mustangs including a Mach 1, some Porsches and some special pickup trucks.

 

Some pics of the main national Merc meeting, at the Dutch HQ. Among the most notable vehicles present were a couple of 190 2.5 EVO I and II's, two SLR's, two or three SLS'es, the CLS Shooting Break conceptcar and a darkblue CLK63 Black Series. All the cars with MBenz.NL on it are from a guy who retrofits Mercs in such a way it looks as if it's done by the factory, and most of the cars are customer cars he worked on. The funeralcar is an R-Class and is unique in our country. I have no pictures of it but there was also an SEL 6.9 in perfect condition. Story behind it was that it was ordered by an Austrian man who died before he could pick up the car, and his family kept it till Merc found it.

About two street corners away and it was parked in front...of a pawn shop!? Well maybe the owner about killed his budget getting it and he was in dire need of money. More likely though, that's not where he went.

 

Anyway my heart skipped a beat and i was all :drool: . It was impeccable. Since the top was off i entertained the idea of getting in and hotwiring it but then i remembered i don't know how to.
