What cars have you driven in your life?

Basically, what cars have you driven in your lifetime? It could be a rental car, a friends car, your parents car, even your own car, list it and write your impressions of that car. If you have a picture or a video, post it!

2008 BMW 328i: Its my moms car and she let me drive it one day cause she had to borrow my truck to buy furniture. It is a real good car, the steering is very tight, it accelerates quite quickly and its very fun to drive.

2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: This is my truck (obviously) and what can I say but its like driving a tank. No feel in the steering, brakes suck and handling is much to be desired. But the best thing about it is the V8, it makes a very good sound and it makes the truck feel deceptively quick.

!929 Ford Model A: This is my families project right now. I drove it once before it stopped working and its way different to anything else in the world. Its a hassle to start up and get going. A big problem is that if you want to shift up or down, you have to depress the clutch multiple times to switch gear. It is good fun though to drive along on a Saturday though

2010 VW Golf GTI - Great

2010 Mitsubishi Lancer - Not bad, hard to see out the back of the hatch version, not a fan of CVT, interior is boring

2010 Subaru Impreza - Nice enough interior but rubbish engine

2010 Ford Focus - Completely forgettable

2010 Toyota Corolla - Light steering, also forgettable/boring. I felt like asking the salesman why I should I bother upgrading from my 1992 Corolla (besides safety and power windows, central locking, etc).

2010 Honda Civic Sedan - Underpowered, small inside but large outside, hard to see where the bonnet ends.

2009 VW Golf 118TSI Stage1- Awesome

2007 VW Golf R32 - Really good response and exhaust sound.

2007? Ford BF Series 2 - Not bad I suppose

2005 Ford BA Ute - Meh

2004 Hyundai Getz - Crap

2003 Holden Vectra - Meh

1998 Mitsubishi Starwagon - Boring

1992 Toyota Corolla - Lightness + twincam made it fun, although underpowered

1992 Ford EB Series 2 - Decent for it's age

1985 Ford Telstar - Meh

My own car.

1984 Datsun-Nissan Sunny 1.5 'SGL' (Exactly like the one Clarkson blew up once)

1990 Toyota Hilux (Petrol, with 200,000 miles on it, and a massive hole in the floor because of rust)

1990 VW Golf GTI 16v (Belonged to my dad first, then my sister. She got rid of it last year, I still miss the thing)

1993 Mazda 323F 1.6 16v (Sisters first car, I started learning to drive in it)

1995 Land Rover Discovery 'GS' TDI Auto (Sisters boyfriends first car, only Automatic I've driven)

1996 VW Golf GTI 8v (Once my mums, now my step-dads. Still just about going at 188,000 miles with one careless owner)

1997 VW Golf 'GL' TDI (My dads once pride and joy, looked after that car so well. Took it to a VW dealership once and the salesman looked over the car and couldn't believe it'd done 100,000 miles, or even half that, because it was that spotless)

1999 Vauxhall Omega 'CD' 2.0 16v (My nans car, biting point on the clutch is stupidly high)

2001 Land Rover Freelander 'GS' 1.8 (One of my mums old cars, traded in for the Polo)

2003 Peugeot 206 'LX' 1.4 HDI (Second car my driving instructor had, passed my test in it, don't hate 206s as much now)

2003 Skoda Fabia vRS (My dads, it'll probably be mine by the end of the year)

2005 Citroen C2 HDI (First car my driving instructor had)

2008 VW Polo 'Match' 1.4 TDI (My mums previous car)

2009 Alfa Romeo MiTo 'Lusso' 1.4 (My dads car, learnt to drive in this as well)

2011 Hyundai i10 'Style' 1.2 (Sisters car that replaced the MK2 Golf)

Not bad considering I've only been fully licensed since August :p

Cars that We own, owned, borrowed and had shots off from mates...

In no real order

1988 Toyota MR2(AW11) - Best car i've driven so far in my life

1999 Rover 75 2.0 CDT (BMW Turbo diesel) - Loved this, a bit of a land yacht but it ate the miles in confort, and could be throwen about on a nice country road!(was mine & my dads, but he got the Almera so became mine befor being sold)

1998 Ford Mondeo 2.0 16V - had this before the 75, was my dads which I used(like the 75). The car I learnt to drive in and get winter driving done it, got a good thrashing this did and would just keep going!

1998 Nissan Almera Si - Current car, again shared. After being used to 2 litres, dropping to a 1.4 was a bit of an ug, but it can fair move(but not like the 75), good to throw about on country roads.

1999 Subaru Impreza Sport - Was like a mix of the MR2 & 75! loved it, sadly we sold it.

2006 Fiat Punto - Its okay, Drive it every so often and its average. Typical pre-2007 Fiat build quality!

1992 Ford Feista - I think i was a 1.2, drove this when I was about 15 at a family friends, was good if I remember it

1992 Mercedes 190E - This was a friends field car, was kind of beat up and had a un-godly amount of miles on it, great fun on the wet grass!

Rover 200 - Same as above, it ended up in a fence post and the steering stuck facing to the left!

2003 Rover 25 1.1 - This is my brothers car, its actually good! better than the Punto!

2007 Ford transit - Really nifty for a van, and handles well!

2005 Transit - Same as above!

1994 Mazda MX5 - had to drive this home for a friend who'd had too much the night before, loved it but could't drive it spiritedly as was in the city.

1999 Peugeot 406 - Drove it...down the street and back 4 years ago!

2010 Vaxuhall Corsa D 1.2 - Worst car i've driven! i can safely say that! Also the newest car ive driven....

Thats All that come to mind on the spot! Probs missed out a few but hay ho!

Its intresting seeing all the different cars and ages they are!

2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: ...No feel in the steering, brakes suck...

Sounds to me like you need to drive your Silverado more. The brakes on my 2009 are fabulous, and the handling is the best I have ever experienced in a truck.

As for me, my driven list goes as follows:

2012 Cadillac CTS coupe (rental)

2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG (Family friend's. What a car, I was speechless)

2011 Nissan Rogue (boss's)

2010 Chevrolet Equinox (sister's)

2009 Chevrolet Silverado (mine)

2008 Chevrolet Tahoe (mom's)

2006 Chevrolet Impala (grandma's)

2001 Chevrolet Tahoe (grandpa's)

2001 Lexus RX300 (sister's before the Equinox)

2001 Ford Mustang GT (friend's)

1977 Chevrolet Corvette coupe (mine)

1958 Volvo PV544 (grandpa's)

Interesting lists. :hmmm:

-Civic (5MT; my daily)

-Subaru Legacy Wagon (with hand controls :cheeky: )

-Legacy Sedan (these three are family cars)

-Saab 900 (1995, not the cool one. Was beat to hell, but a manual)

-BMW 328i (5MT, but I didn't get up to any real speed)

-Jeep Grand Cherokee (no steering feel. At all. )

-Hyundai Sonata

-Chevy Malibu

-VW Jetta (Driver's Ed car. Got it up to redline a couple times in sport mode :cheeky: )

-1950s Mercedes 220S Cabriolet

^Drove this one around a friend's driveway because it was a manual and he stalled it a couple times. Four on the tree, massive pedal travel (clutch and gas  ). A very, very hard car to drive, and incredibly different from modern cars.

That's about it, for now. :)

-Leadfoot
