Because of posting engine sound mods, I've decided to write this, with the purpose to help people who would be interested of the physics from the previews from my posts (even though I would not get the most viewed :D and my sounds probably would not get more than several hundred views :))). But : that is not my priority, getting many views. My priority is to help people who would like to have realistical enough physics, better than the original game's physics, and to have heavy diesel sounds (which are not plenty), people who would like to have what I have (I don't think here in a superstitious way). I do this because I was before in this position : frustrated of not being able to do my own mods (ok, not cars, which requires a lot of work and computer skills, I talk about sound & physics), frustrated of bothering other people to help me. And now, My Advices about Physics Editing : 1. The Acceleration must be very low for maximum of handling. 2. The Mass (KG) must be 1000 for normal weight cars to provide maximum of handling. 3. FWD / RWD Traction is great for a strong start (with AWD the start is poor). 4. Engine Inertia (smaller) is useful for driving relatively constant at low speeds (without engine struggling). 5. Grip must be big for stability, but with strong enough suspensions & dampers (I recommend 90 value for every 'free space' you have to write). 6. Ride Height (Front/Rear) & Maximum Height (Front/Rear) must have the same value (all of them) for big stability. 7. Overhang (Front/Rear) must be bigger for more cornering stiffness/rigidity and smaller for less cornering stiffness/rigidity (Overhang is, in fact, the ... pfff, just look the image from this link : Wikimedia Error). 8. Track Front/Rear must be bigger for more stability and smaller for less stability (for drifting, but it is not enough) (Track Front & Rear is, in fact, the distance on X Axe between wheels : Wikimedia Error). I recommend 2500 value. I've tried To Create REALISTICAL ACCELERATION & HANDLING, and NOT REALISTICAL VALUES (WHICH STRONGLY SUCKS).

Hey Guys, i am back for a few month now, just fiddling around offline mode with my Logitech DF pro. After getting used to that "physics", it was fun and i played the game very far on two profiles. However, back in the day on the xBox, i had like all the dlc and stuff from the casino, and i really miss some of that stuff. But i dont want to buy the dlc stuff again, i dont play it enough (or i am too poor, depends). I tryed some savegames from the www, but there still stuff missing (F40, Bikes ´n stuff). Also i would like to play the game trough myself, but thats not that important. I saw some irritating stuff on youtube, but me and PC´s, there is no Hope. I was happy when i could change soundfiles in tdu1 (AM V8 with Z06, loved it)... However, one of you Guys able to make or share a proper savegame (offline)? I m looking for make drift in TDU ... and i m try to a lot of way to make drift.. yes have a drift car in the game of corse but i m use TDU PERFORMANCE EDITOR and after that will be have a good for setting for the drift. and if u know somebody any information about this please help me :( i change some horsepower torq ... like that.. but i need proffesional settings how to numbers and values =/

Hello! I have problems installing various car patches for TDU. I start the install exe and it stops in the middle saying it has found a critical error. Note that I have already installed NetFramework 2 sp2 and the magic map of DJey. Eg when I try to install Ferrari 458 Italia I get this in the patch log: "Exception spotted: Could not find file 'D:\Program Files\Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Vehicules\F612.bnk'." then "Instruction #4 ended with error." followed by: "Patch halted because of an error." and: "No collected messages. * * *" Eg2 when I try to install Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa v1.2 I get: "Exception spotted: Length cannot be less than zero.Parameter name: length" then "Instruction #13 ended with error." and then "Patch halted because of an error." and "No collected messages. * * *" Can anyone help me either by pointing out what I 've done wrong/ot at all or by offering other solutions? Hello, I see a lot of great mods for TDU, and I wondered wther if its possible to use those mods in TDU2, becaus I lost my TDU1 DVD :-( I am especially interested in the e28 M5 for TDU.

Was surprised to see this pop-up on my twitter timeline and I'm glad it did as it was a damn fine and echoed many truths and brought back many brilliant memories of the game and the hours myself and many others here wiled away in the game. This is the program conducted by Dredgy's, so I went and made this post for those who have a little problem in the TDUPE 2.78, which is the limit value in the bars of acceleration and brakes (in the case of motorcycles), for here is this program for that. So, after reinstalling my PC's OS, I reinstalled my copy of TDu 2 so that I could try out the modding (big fan of TDU 1 and the modding we could do on that game!) Start up the game, let it download the DLC's to v0.86 and then get told I can't activate the game... Epic Fail anyone? So I email SecuROM and receive a reply saying I must contact the developers of the game. I do so and open a ticket to reset my activation limits and have not received a response from them for over a week now... :confused: In the interim, I downloaded a no dvd crack just to see if the game has updated correctly, and to see if my savegame was recovered correctly from my old HDD. Now, with the Universal Launcher v3.2 I can launch the game in Offline mode, and it turns out my savegame recovered properly... BUT... My Nissan GT-R now sounds like a supercharged V8?? And when I try and enter the bike dealership it just crashes to desktop...:headbang: What could be causing this? And how long should I be prepared to wait for Atari Support to respond to my ticket? Any help would be appreciated! :panic:

Sup guys. So I just got an Thrustmaster Ferrari GT 3-in-1 Rumble Force. Tested it out with a few games (Shift 2, TDU 1,DiRT 3, ETS) and it works just fine. But for some reason when I try to get TDU 2 to detect it it just doesn't. There's a video on yt of a guy playing TDU 2 with the exact same wheel as me. Any guesses on why it isn't working? [h=3][/h]

I installed tdu 2 on windows 8 and the unpacker doesn't work.It worked when I had W7.When starts to unpack after 10 min on some files it says: 'Files not found!". I don't know what to do :(

Been ages since we've had a TDU game on the forums and I've just thought of one to see how extensive our photo collections are. the idea is very simple. I start off posting a photo from somewhere in O'ahu. Assuming you know where that photo was taken, you have to find one of your photos that's just up the road slightly from the previous photo, going in the same direction (camera facing the same way), and not the exact same location (i.e. a few hundred meters). We'll then see how far around the island we can virtually "drive" via these photos and what route we take. If you still play TDU then you might be able to help if we get stuck somewhere. Whoever has a photo near the airport Vrent where the game starts can start off this thread :)

Hello, I am Lofty and I make videos on YouTube. Recently I started modding TDU2 and decided to show the mods on YouTube. I recieved an overwhelming response from the viewers and decided to continue making videos. About 4 months ago I stopped making the videos as school was getting tough:sulk:. But I am back:p!!! Hey all, I'm new to modding (physics\camera swaps) and I've changed the Saturn Sky into a Mazda MX-5 Miata (I downloaded a performance pack from TDU Forums) in the TDU Performance Editor and I can't find it anywhere, does anyone have any idea where it could be, or is there something I've done wrong? Does this mean I can only set the car in a certain dealer and change it later after buying it? Any constructive help would be appreciated :)
