And from a given occasion - the visible exterior of the LaFerrari is almost DONE ! :) After 3 1/2 months (started 5. November 2013) which of 1 1/2 were actually used consistently working on it ( :D ), I made it!

 

Wiper, side indicators and Ferrari badges on the doors are left to model, before I FINALLY can start making textures and mapping everything. It means - after that the whole thing will find it's way into Test Drive! :) Engine bay and interior will be imported afterwards, when they will be modeled.

 

Yeah what is left to say... I don't think the rest will take longer than the exterior. The engine bay will take.. A week maybe, the interior about 3 weeks, maybe a month - mayve even less. The interior will be a big project for me. I am a perfectionist, of course I can make the rest in 2 weeks, but then it will look as bad as my first mods on turboduck :D

 

 

If you will find any mistakes in the model on the pics, feel free to post them! I am doing my best to make the model as good as possible :) And if anyone have good quality reference pictures of the interior, engine bay, or any kind of details of the car - I would appreciate it really much!

 

I get a G27 tomorrow, so I will wait even more to drive the LF on the island! :)

p.s you did a very good work on the exterior , I Love the LF and I watched lots of photoes of it and your model has nothing wrong ! Very good job , I'm sure you'll do the same good work on the interior

Import numero uno. Still sitting on Enzo rims, rolling with blacked out windows with a Lotus Exige interior inside. This thing will be a long project. It will not replace the XKR anymore, as it has 4 sets of rims. Got to find something else.

YES!!!!! I finally made it!!! First time EVER I imported a completely cratch made model made by myself in a game :D !!! You can't imagine the feeling, it is epic.

yes, it's a really great job, a great mastering of 3DS Max program, which in my opinion is difficult to use (but it isn't one of the most difficult, because it's very efficient)

 

but you need some time to master this program, I don't use it, but I know something about 3d modelling, I've tried several other 3d modelling programs (but unsuccessful), and I've learned last semester AutoCAD at university / faculty (which it isn't easy to use for 3d modelling as many other programs [because it is not efficient enough], but I will study another one this second semester, much better : Free CATIA Tutorial - Car #1 of 2 (Freeform Surfacing) - YouTube this is a really cool video about that program I will learn [hopefully successful, it's not too difficult, but it is tricky])

tduzoqqer, can you make the car to be able to set it lower than 100 mm ? that would be great for performance (and I think it's possible [some tdu1 suv's have just 200mm ride height, for example, but most of others have more than 250 mm]

 

I mean to model the car in the right way to make it compatible to extremely low ride heights
